I think OAI nerfed the speed so you need to use fast mode more often.

Sol is really really slow. It makes sense, you nerf speed to make people use less tokens/hour, unless they go fast mode or ultra fast mode.

Took this pic when I went trekking in Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade, Mato Grosso - Brasil.

Didn't want to mess with it, of course.

Hubris - Prologue and Chapter 1 (1118+2088 words).

Earth is dead. What remains of humanity has been confined to arcologies.
Lúcia wants to know the world she was denied, and she'll do anything.
Marcelo wants to protect humanity's dream, and no sacrifice is too great.
But when one of the towers is destroyed, everything they believed in crumbles.
Only horror and despair will remain.

---------------------------------

I come before you, dear fellow writers and readers, to ask that you take a look at the book I've been working on for many years now and give me some feedback.

I'm a complete amateur, but I've been studying the craft for a while now, trying to shape this into something solid, something that accomplishes what I set out to do and that readers can truly appreciate.

Forgive me if I'm not very active around here. I'm a father, I work eight hours a day, and I drive for Uber on top of that, evenings and weekends. That time behind the wheel is when I think through the story, actually. When I get home, I write for thirty minutes to an hour every day. But I won't post a chapter until I'm genuinely satisfied with it.

For now I have the Chapter Zero, and Chapter One up. The next ones are well underway, and I'll be posting them soon.

One thing I do promise. This story is entirely mine. No generative AI, not anywhere in the writing.

Thank you!

I come before you, dear fellow writers and readers, to ask that you take a look at the book I've been working on for many years now.

I can't promise the most reliable posting schedule, but this book matters deeply to me. It comes from a very deep place. This isn't something I'm doing just for fun. I feel an immense need for this story to exist, it simply must be written.

For now I have the Chapter Zero, and Chapter One up. The next ones are well underway, and I'll be posting them soon.

One thing I do promise. This story is entirely mine. No generative AI, not anywhere in the writing. That's why the cover is a plain white page with a few letters on it. I won't even use AI for the cover art.

Now, to be fully transparent: I have used AI for some scientific research to strengthen the worldbuilding, and I use it to help me translate from Brazilian Portuguese into English. I'm fluent, but when it comes to writing a full book in English, I know I fall short. The reading audience in Brazil is very small, which is why I want to release this in English. If this story ever gets monetized, I will make a point of hiring a real, flesh-and-blood translator.

Thank you!

Help me plan my defenses? - Reliquarian phantasmal might - stormburst

Sorrym, had flesh offering twice instead of bone offering, it is there for the queens hunger, here the real pob:

https://pobb.in/U53eImmd7S9M

This is my league starter and I am still completing Atlas, in dad rithym. I have 4D to my name right now.

The concept is queen's hunger to keep my phantasms up, and as we stack duration for the offerings duration with Leash of Oblation, we also stack duration for the Storm burst. Perfect for the imensse added damage from phantasmal might and soulwrest.

The tree isn't very optimized, and all my defense was betting into block.

Next steps I was thinking into some more mitigation or more life/es. recovery needs to be better thought out too. So i if you guys could help me from now, I would apreciate, thanks!

I know that i need to improve my chaos res, it is next steps.

After i found myself through writing - I want to stop working and only write - Just venting.

First, sorry my english.

This is my first post here, just venting. I don't even know if I can call myself a writer yet, since I haven't even finished my first draft.

I've always been more of an arts person, even though I never struggled with the sciences — I was actually good at math, physics, chemistry, all of it. That's how I ended up in architecture. As a teenager I had a rock band with some friends, even played a few gigs. Me and my guitar were inseparable. I wrote songs and poems, but nothing too serious. Music was really my thing. But before I turned 18, a trauma completely shut me down. I never picked up an acoustic or electric guitar again. Depression kicked in right then and there, and it never left. That was 25 years ago.

Architecture in Brazil is a rich person's profession. I grew up poor, dirt poor. How was I supposed to know what rich people wanted to build? And poor people can't afford an architect. Plus I needed to eat. Urban planning ended up working out — I have a client base now, the pay isn't terrible, but it's not enough to support my family. I've got two kids and everything is absurdly expensive these days. My wife is the one bringing in the most, and I'm drowning in debt, driving Uber at night and on weekends.

Within architecture I ended up specializing in urban planning, which is less art and more social sciences. Something I actually enjoyed a lot, too. I'm deeply interested in society. The thing is, ever since I was a kid I've had this intense need to understand the world, to get what's going on, to think critically and figure stuff out on my own. It only got stronger after I read Sophie's World at 12. I knew understanding the world mattered. But at the same time, the more I understood, the more cynical I got, the more disillusioned.

The truth is, the year my first son was born, 2015, I somehow started digging into the Climate Crisis, and it wrecked me. Wrecked me bad. A kid on the way and a horrible future waiting for him. The frustration of knowing how the world works — or at least a big chunk of it — mixed with my total powerlessness, just made everything worse.

The depression, which had been mild, later it was diagnosed as dysthymia, ramped up hard around that time. And at the same time I felt like all that built-up frustration, all that block I'd constructed over the years, was starting to crack. I needed some kind of outlet for my mind.

Then out of nowhere I started writing. I just pictured a scene and put it down on paper. And I liked it. All that pleasure I used to feel playing and learning guitar came rushing back the moment I started writing. And suddenly I realized I could reclaim a piece of myself, that I could use this to let out my frustrations, my powerlessness in the face of such a heavy world. Nowadays when I write I get goosebumps, I cry, I feel every single one of my characters. I'm writing a sci-fi novel and it's still gonna take years to finish, but it will definately get done. No doubt about that.

Reading was always a big part of my life, I started when I was 7, and nowadays I avoid starting a book when I have some work to do, because when I start I can't put it down, I would go 2 days without sleep while reading something good. I must have read hundreds of books through my life.

But right now I've got a problem: I can't do anything else. Sometimes I fantasize about just quitting my job and living super frugally so I can just write. Crazy, I know. But I can't stop thinking about it.

This is it. Thanks for listening to my ted talk.

Flameblast oil grenade gemling - very good, very underrated.

Seriously, i don't know why it isn't more talked about, it seems crazy for the amount of investiment, and it can scale very high.

My build is very modest compared to some i see in Poe ninja, yet it can do this:

https://streamable.com/rxfpyn

Simulacrum 7th wave -t16.

https://streamable.com/3svtso

Just a Raven trickster to showcase the dps.

here the char:

https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Arqium-4646/runesofaldur/character/ThefirstGemling

Very confy also, just a flameblast in the start of the map, then keep spreading with oil grenade.
