Here’s my newest floating magnet slider I made from polymer clay. I made the pattern using the murrini technique and 3d printed a texture roller to mirror the pattern on the “base plate”.

Hello! I’m an artist that makes murrini patterns out of polymer clay and recently got hooked on the floating magnetic sliders. So of course I had to make my own out of polymer clay so I could decorate them with my patterns!
It’s been a lot of trial and error to get it to slide smoothly but still have a good magnetic grip. This is my latest version, the TRAP v1.2! It’s got a 4x4 setup on one side and a 3x3 on the other, the corner magnets are 8mm while the center ones are 6mm. The base plate is 1mm thick textured and sanded just slightly to make it smooth and slidy. The biggest downside is the sliders are glued together so no room for customizing it once it’s all together.
I’m looking forward to getting these dialed in and putting some of my fun patterns on them.

This is a great lil blaster. For $20 I had to get 2, one for me and one for my kiddo. Only downside is the magazine has this angled top so it doesn’t look compatible with other mags. 🤦
