My dog died and I have a lot of dog supplies I need to donate. Preferably to one place, in one big drop off or pick up.

I have dog food, dog treats, toothpaste and grooming supplies, toys, chuck-its and balls, poop bags, dog beds, crates and carriers, dog steps for high furniture…the list goes on. There is a LOT and I need to stop looking at it and crying.

If you know of or work with a place that will take it all, please let me know. I’m not gifting here, I am asking for help finding a rescue to donate to.

This is a tad bit specific, but hopefully there will be some folks on here who can respond…

My kid will be graduating college with a Bachelor of Arts from a college in the U.S. focused on Psychology. In the U.S., there are several paths to become a therapist/counselor: PhD/PsyD which is the highest level and has more opportunities, but can take 5 or more years. Masters in Counseling, which is a 2-3 year program followed by working as a therapist “resident” basically until you reach your state’s required supervised hours to become fully accredited. And then there’s the licensed social worker, or master’s in social work, route.

I list these as a comparison point. My son would like to get his masters or PhD in psychology abroad with the hopes of becoming a professional in that country after graduation. My question is for any psychology professionals here - what are the paths/programs like in the country where you practice, and how much in demand are therapists where you are at?

Language is of course an issue, but just assume that it won’t be. He would become fluent in the country’s language, before pursuing the psychology degree.

I’m having a hard time eating solid food, and my go-to protein drink is no longer sold at Costco. I am hoping you all can tell me some places I can go to get protein rich, low or no added sugar (but not full of sucralose or other artificial sweeteners - monk fruit and stevia is fine), tolerable smoothies, shakes, or juices. To make it harder, I have a serious aversion to seeds or chunks.

Inner SE (or close to SE in NE) ideally since gas is so darn expensive.

If you know the current pricing, that would also be appreciated but I can look it up, too.

If you know of any fantastic plant-based store-bought protein drinks, I’d welcome that info as well. I was drinking Orgain chocolate, which was tolerable not great.

I went into surgical menopause in 2023, after my ovaries and tubes were removed, but they left my uterus in. I hadn’t had a period for a long while even before that, so there was no spotting or anything after the surgery.

Fast forward to last week, when I started seeing red tint when I wiped, then blood. It was only a small amount and has lasted for several days. I recently went up to 200mg progesterone, so I’m assuming that is the cause.

My question is for those who had a similar experience with spotting after changing HRT - does the body adjust and the bleeding stops on its own, or did you have to adjust your meds to stop it?

We tried going last Thursday after school, and it was unexpectedly closed. Tried again today and it’s closed, and they’d taken the hours sign down. There is a help wanted sign in the window…anyone know what’s up?

Any good mechanics near SE (Burnside/Stark/Hawthorne area)? I’m looking for a reasonably priced place that can do the regular maintenance on my Subaru (won’t go to the Portland dealership after they screwed me over a few years ago).
