Contradicties in uitspraken/gedrag graag.

[CET] 41 m Europe, Anno 1800/117

Hello everybody. I would love to find a friend (m/v/x) who would be happy to build a majestic empire in Anno 1800 or Anno 117. I would prefer 1800 as I find the gaming mechanics a bit more fun, but of course 117 would be great as well.

I'm European (Belgium) and work mainly before noon, which gives me a lot of time in the afternoon/evening. I'm 420 friendly, tolerant towards everyone as long as you're not racist.

Feel like starting a new long play sandbox game? You know where to find me!

Have a great weekend all!

Offering English, Dutch, French. Seeking Japanese

A very good morning from the heart of Europe, Belgium 👋🏻 a lot of us are raised bilingual here, in Dutch and French. And since we watch television with subtitles, most of us become fluent in English over time. In the midst of my first adventure in Japan (later more), I obtained a TEFL certification (teaching English as a foreign language).

I've been to Japan 7 times already, I am planning trip 8, but I'm not just a tourist. I was enrolled in a Japanese language school for 3 months in Tokyo, which gave me a basis to what I consider the most beautiful language on the planet. This whole adventure took place from 2016 until covid 2020.

It's fair to say I'm stereotypical Belgian, I work as a chemist for a beer brewery, and my biggest passion is working with chocolate (can't say I didn't warn you 😄). It's always been a dream to bring my chocolate to Japan, and I did so end of 2019, when I had an open kitchen concept, I paired up with a Japanese friend. We considered this a succesfull test and were making preparations to level up.

And then covid broke loose. I had to return, and was locked out of the country for two years (unfortunately I didn't have a private plane 🙈).

I picked up my life in Belgium again, still hoping I could return swiftly. But yeah, it took 2 years, in the mean time I got a new cool job, and I kept working with chocolate for small, local projects. The Japan dream started to fade a little bit, but the yearning remained. I still have unfinished business in Japan, I still have good ideas to find my place in the Japanese chocolate market. I'm still dreaming.

I am picking up my Japanese again, in a weird way I have missed kanji training 😄 I'm working towards a new open kitchen concept, but this time I want to explain what I'm doing, making conversation with clients. It's a steep hill, but there's no lack of motivation.

So, does this resonate with you? Can you help me get up to conversational Japanese? I can offer other languages, ánd chocolate as a bonus 😄

All of you, have an amazing day

Solomon Islands to the WC, got any tips?

In search of a new challenge, I discovered you can start a career as national coach, with a nation that doesn't have a national competition in the game (fm24, ps5). The save starts with a couple of friendlies and then the Pacific games. I easily won this tournament (and unlock the trophy 'win a major international tournament' lol), and was offered a job as headcoach for a semi pro club in Belgium (Hoogstraten). I figured Belgium would be a good choice to bring over some Solomon players, the league doesn't have restrictions for foreigners, and it has fairly good facilities to start with. I'm currently still in season 1, and fighting against relegation with Hoogstraten. The eventual goal is to qualify for the WC with the Solomon Islands.

So I was just wondering if anyone has taken on a similar challenge, and can give some useful tips? Anything I can do to improve the quality of newgens?

Have a great weekend
