Worried I’ll be denied a tonsillectomy

Hi everyone,

I’m 28F. I’ve had strep maybe 12 times the last 10 years.
I’ve have at least one visible tonsil stone every single day the last 3 years. The last 6 months my tonsils have been half way inflamed every day without an obvious reason (+1-3 tonsil stones which I’ve had a habit of just removing everyday).

But, the last 2.5 weeks I’ve had them inflamed more than usual, even the right one being so inflamed I feel a bump in the back of my neck on the right. But, I tested negative for flu, cold, strep. I was told to just gargle salt and to take Tylenol. However, I was already gargling salt water about 10 times a day.

I’ve had another doctor tell me I have chronic tonsillitis but getting a tonsillectomy did not occur to me until now.

I also think I have ear problems from the inflamed tonsils.

I’ve always had bad breath the last 1-2 years which I thought was related to some gut issues but have been reading a lot that it is from tonsil stones.

I signed up for an ENT consultation but am worried my case isn’t going to qualify for a tonsillectomy.

Do you think I’m qualified?

thinking about joining from JPMC?

took internal mobility and hate the role and cant switch prior to a year without manager approval.

biggest issues are work life balance and the actual work (hate it, don't understand it, not interested in it) is it really that bad at GS? this is my second role at jpmc and the previous one had amazing wlb, regular 8 am to 5 pm. i am not in finance. i am in tech.

vinted has taken over my life

my fingers cant pack another $1 package or any package at all. i think the las 3 days i have made 105 sales or smth i lost count after 63. my apartment has less things. i think the air is cleaner. i cant believe anyone would want my junk. at this speed. i started doing bundles of things together so i dont have to pack each and every little thing and can just do medium/large packages.

it is so worth it.

I regret taking internal mobility.

This job is nothing as they described. It has been 2.5 months. Someone told me to give it a year. I don't know what to do. I don't want to leave JPMC. I transitioned from an ok, not-going-anywhere job to this so I had to make a move regardless, but this new job is just not it.

Sending counter offers almost immediately?

I am on my phone 24/7, it is quite rare when I miss a notification, so I am mostly always present when someone sends an offer for something.

After someone sends an offer, I almost immediately within the same minute send a counter offer. Then I notice most people just stop engaging altogether. Maybe 1 out of 10 actually proceeds.

Should I give it some time before sending in a counter offer?
