What do you like about spring in the UK?

It's 31C in southern Ontario (Canada) right now and feels like 35C. (In my childhood we would have been happy if it hit 17C mid-May.)

I cannot take such hot weather so soon so I'm keeping cool indoors with the AC on lol.

Would you please share something you like about (cooler) springs in the UK? It can be anything...favourite spring flower, bird sighting, outdoor activity, park to visit, festival,....

I'm partial to lilacs and bluebells and chickadees, but I hardly see chickadees anymore. The aggressive red-winged blackbird has taken over in my city! :(

Moving beyond Google's default language

Hello! I have every setting that I can think of on my phone (including the Google app) set to Canadian English and French, yet everytime I use the Google search bar (and microphone) I get American spelling.

How do I fix this? I bloody hate seeing colour, favourites, etc. spelled without a U.

It's a Samsung phone.

How can I forward emails?

Hello! How can I set up a Rule for certain addresses (or even forward all emails) to another address? There is supposed to be an option, but I can't find it. It's a hotmail email address.

I'm using a Samsung phone if that matters.

Don't rinse after brushing?

You're apparently not supposed to rinse with water after brushing to benefit from the fluoride in the toothpaste yet the toothpaste (Pronamel, etc.) tells you to contact poison control immediately if swallowed.

So do you all seriously not rinse after brushing? I've been rinsing with water since I was old enough to brush my own teeth lol. Have I been missing out on the fluoride treatment?

On vs At: are the UK examples correct, please?

Canadian English: "On Tuesday..." and "On the weekend...".

British English: "On Tuesday...", but "At the weekend..."

Canada: "On the weekend I'm going to...." or "On the weekend I went...."

UK: "At the weekend I'm going..." or "At the weekend I went..." But, "On Tuesday I'm going..." or "On Tuesday I went..."

If the UK examples are correct, then I don't understand why it differs between a weekday and a weekend (and also why Canada, Australia, etc. are different).
