Am I overreacting, or is this a normal mom reaction?

My husband has never hit our daughter before, but today, in a moment of anger, he slapped her once.. To be fair, she was at fault, and I also scold her when she does something wrong.

But seeing my husband scold her and hit her made me feel completely shattered. I couldn't stop crying. I know she made a mistake, but somehow it hurt so much more when it came from him.

I don't even know why I reacted this strongly. Has any other mom experienced something similar? How did you deal with these emotions, and how did you talk to your partner afterward?

My 8-Year-Old Keeps Sneaking My Phone. How Do I Reduce Her Screen Time?

I'm really struggling with this. I've tried setting screen time limits, hiding my phone, offering fun alternatives, and explaining why too much screen time isn't healthy. But my 8-year-old daughter still finds ways to sneak my phone whenever she gets the chance.

I don't want to keep scolding her all the time or turn this into a daily fight. I also don't want it to affect the trust between us.

Has anyone else gone through this? What actually worked for you? I'd really appreciate practical advice from parents who've been in the same situation.

Post-vacation school blues: is anyone else dealing with this ?

Summer vacations are finally over, and school has started again after such a long break.

My daughter got so used to being at home and spending time on activities and screens during the holidays that now she's finding it hard to get excited about school again. She's not very interested in studying at the moment and doesn't seem eager to go to school either.

For parents who have gone through this, how did you help your child get back into a school routine and develop interest in learning again after long vacations?

I'd love to hear your suggestions and experiences.
