How do I progress?

Hey, to specify what my question is about. How do I progress via monkeytype so that it translates into real life. Yes I can select punctuations, but are there any other tips? Maybe focus on accuracy and consistency instead of speed? Long form test instead of short ones etc.

I need help choosing the right distro

So I just bought myself a new laptop and I need choosing the right distro. I have previously used OMARCHY because of hyprland. I like using tilling manager more thant a normal WM. But I'd want the option to switch between a tilling manager and normal WM. I am going to be gaming, work and coding, if that helps. I also don't know which DE i should use

Buying a budget work/powerful laptop

Hey, I'm looking to buy a laptop that would be good for work (and school)but also kind of powerful. I study programming so if I say powerful I mainly mean that it should be able to run many programs at once and some light gaming. I was looking at the Thinkpad t14 G1, G2, and G3 both Intel and AMD versions, with 16gb ram soldered minimum. I want to know if the cpus in these laptops are powerful enough and if it's worth it paying more for the AMD version.

Blue light glasses before bed?

Hi, idk if this is an okay post to post here but I wanted to ask if someone has experience with those orange or dark red glasses for blue light.

Basically every night I'm on my PC right before bed and I figured it would be beneficial for me to buy and use them, but idk if it's worth it.

Laptop under 800Eur

Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

20000czk, Czechrepublic

Are you open to refurbs/used?

Yes

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Performance, battery, build quality

How important is weight and thinness to you?

Quite a lot. Will be used for school (so at least under 2kg would be nice)

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

NA, bigger= better but under 16"

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

Video editing, photo editing - davinci and adobe

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

NA

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Preferably has a sdxc card slot

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I'd use it for video editing and photo editing. Also programming, but it has to be able to run basically every kind of program from all different programming languages. I'd buy a MacBook cause of the video edit and portability but idk about the programming. I will be learning all kind of programming languages at school so idk if it can be run there.
