Inquiry regarding upcoming shows.

I plan on attending a show during the Within tour but wanted to see if air guitar is encouraged at the event? Will I get looks? Sometimes I honestly can’t help myself while listening to their music. Thanks!

This is probably the only metal band I listen to.

So I’ve been a fan since Kezia came out. When I first heard them I started exploring other metal bands that were decent, but always ended up gravitating back to PTH. Am I one of the few here that this is the only metal band I truly listen to? They have the perfect balance of screams, growls, guitar licks and pure vocals, which is probably why I have trouble getting into other metal bands. To put it into perspective, when I’m not listening to PTH, which is rare as of late with the new album, I’m listening to Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, and the Eagles, to name a few lol the complete other side of the spectrum

Should I take this new job with a new born on the way?

I’m currently working remote making $130k/year. I understand I have a really good thing going but I’m starting to dislike my job more and more, and my boss essentially told me I’ve hit a ceiling with my remote status. I’ve been exploring new opportunities and in the midst of the final stages of a new opportunity that could nearly triple what I’m currently making. Company wants to fly me in to meet their team, so it sounds promising. Really on the fence if I should just keep riding my cushy job where I don’t have to worry about the optics of taking paternity leave, vs leave somewhere new while making way more, but might not be around as much due to increased travel with job.

I haven’t disclosed my personal situation with the potential new job, however if an offer comes to the table I’ll need to see if I can negotiate that in.

Has anyone started new careers with a baby on the horizon? How did it turn out? Thanks!

PSA: Don’t feel ashamed to air guitar in public.

I’ve exclusively been ripping PTH in the gym and can’t help but air guitar some tasty licks. If someone gives you weird looks, just remember it’s their loss for not being able to experience what you’re listening to. Keep air shredding everyone, it makes you stronger.

Having issues pulling/hooking the ball.

Is my swing too flat as others say?

Considering leaving industry or looking into insure-tech space. Need advice.

Currently work as a Sr. UW for a very large global P&C carrier. 11+ years experience. I’m fully remote since 2023, which I understand isn’t the norm, however my company gave me the green light because I quickly proved myself at my job and have been a top performer year over year. I understand I have a ceiling at my company due to my remote status but I don’t want to be an UW forever. My boss asked if I would ever move back to the city but I’m starting a family soon so chances of me ever moving back is slim. They’re cool with me remote but I understand there are challenges with internal progression. Extremely grateful I have a good set up but my job is becoming very repetitive and I’m leaning on doing something different.

Debating leaving insurance as a whole to transfer my skills elsewhere but obviously finding remote work is a challenge. Do I continue to stick it out at my company and see how the cards fall or start exploring other avenues?

Tips please!

This result actually looked “OK”. However the 20 other shots were a low and dying hook, which is my miss for basically every club in my bag. Absolutely killing my scores. Started the year off as an 8 cap and have been playing like a 12-15.
