It's like his pr team is fully focused on packaging him as some highly desirable catch of the GenZ batch of ICT instead of asking him to work on his extremely glaring weakness!

And no, I'm not some boomer Desi parent who wants wants his child to have his nose buried in the books 24*7 even during holidays. No one's suggesting that he should be practising 24*7 during a break. But hoping that he practices a little social media etiquette and moving with some seriousness and sophistication is not too much to ask for, is it?

He had a horrid season with the bat. His abysmal game against spin or when the ball is doing a bit is there for every Tom, Dick and Harry to witness. Even the stand-in captain of Ireland knew he had to get spinners the moment Tilak had walked in.

I had kept quiet mostly when people here accused Rohit of using pr to elicit sympathy when Saikia shut down rumours about Rohit's retirement.

I think what most people failed to see was that all of this was very clearly an orchestrated campaign to put the spotlight on an ageing star...again...to escape scrutiny and questions of how the team was being run, added with extremely questionable selections!

Pandey put his entire credibility at risk to report Rohit's retirement news moments after he got out in the 2nd match. Why would he do that? THINK. He has been spot on with all the selection "leaks" even after Rohit's retirement from 2 formats but somehow he got such a major news so horribly wrong??

Yeah, I don't think so. He must've gotten clear orders from his reputable source at BCCI to make this news.

Very conveniently distracting everyone from the real problems in the ODI setup like the middle order, Ishan Kishan's inclusion, the bowling lineup etc.

While I'd say that compared to the rest, this may not be *that* obnoxious but the promo makers in India need to drink the humble juice and quick! Because it's our players, at the end of the day, who bear the brunt of the public mockery that comes after a series loss after promos like these.

It's genuinely amazing to me how Ishan Kishan has failed throughout the UK tour but I have barely seen a single post made against him.

I guess there are pros to not being the kind of player who ever had the spotlight on them. For not being the captain (Iyer), the justice gang leader (Sanju), the ones with huge female fanbases (Tilak and Abhishek), or being the teenaged prodigy/boy wonder (Vaibhav).

That way you can just move under the radar and go scot-free when it comes to criticism like Jadeja used to in white ball.

The ODI series will be very interesting to watch because it will prove if Rohit-Dravid were just biased and wrong or they were visionaries when it came to dealing with Kishan.

The random eagle in the bg might be a hint. During IPL, Hardik Pandya had posted a story of him practicing in the nets alone with an eagle emoji.

Maybe it's a hint that HP might be going to CSK instead of KKR?
