...Just know that this is how your current franchise fans see you. You don't really matter to them despite being the second highest scorer and actually making valuable contributions in most, if not all wins.

They don't want you as a captain. Just want you to be the "face" that makes their little cult franchise relevant after years of irrelevancy. They believe they are entitled to you because the franchise "invested" in you for years. You know, like the typical Indian parent who sees their children as extension of themselves and want them to succeed because of all the money they had put in their education. Yes, exactly like that.

You clearly aren't seen as a serious captaincy candidate both by the coach and by the captain. You are just the golden goose whose face brings in the views and puts that franchise on the IPL map. Here we all know that's not what you want. And that's why you confided in your Yuvi Pa regarding the same which these lot were quick to dismiss as "bitterness".

But if you're having second thoughts on leaving, just know that there are many fans of that franchise like this one who wouldn't have two fvcks to give if you leave them because they are proudly tEAm fiRSt.

So go where you will be wanted. Go where you will be cherished. Go where your contributions and loyalty will actually be valued, where you won't be the guy they got but didn't actually wanted...where you won't be the second fiddle.

Gill Knows What Happened In T20s. Is That Why Abhishek Is Being Kept Away From ODIs?

Let’s be real, Abhishek Sharma not even being picked for ODI or India A ODI cricket makes no sense.
This is the same Abhishek who was already in India A one day squads earlier. And after entering the T20 team, he did not just perform, he completely changed the conversation.

His hitting, intent and consistency made him the most exciting young Indian opener. The attention shifted from Shubman Gill to Abhishek very quickly. And let’s not pretend that did not matter.

Gill has already seen what happened in T20s. Once Abhishek got a proper chance, his fearless batting made Gill’s place look weak. Now imagine if Abhishek gets a proper ODI run and starts doing the same there, giving fast starts, scoring consistently, and taking all the attention again.

That would directly put pressure on Gill’s ODI spot too, especially before a World Cup.
This is why the timing looks so strange. Abhishek was good enough for India A earlier, good enough to dominate in T20s, but suddenly not good enough for the ODI pathway?

Fans are not stupid. This looks less like team selection and more like protecting someone’s place.
Maybe Gill is scared that what happened in T20s will happen again in ODIs.
And honestly, looking at Abhishek’s rise, he has every reason to be.

Why Abhishek Sharma isn't in the squad?

Why Abhishek Sharma isn’t selected in the India ODI A squad or Afghanistan series even after scoring consistently and crossing 500+ runs this IPL season? He has improved his game a lot too. Now he plays much more maturely instead of only playing high-risk shots — he plays more down-the-ground shots, tries to save his wicket, and can play a much quieter anchoring role as well.

I might be wrong,

But so many youngsters have been given chances now, but why not him?

Maybe I am thinking too much🥲. . . Reason for consecutive stinkers maybe?

Okayy people might call me Orthodox or name call me but I do believe that some people can bring bad luck. This is something I have noticed that has happened to Abhishek Sharma ( I might be wrong pls give ur opinions respectfully😭). There's this influencer named Vriddhi Patwa who is a big Abhishek fan. So she went to watch Pak vs Ind match in T20 world Cup which was Abhishek's first match and from that match onwards his downfall started. She was also supposed to go to the final match but her flight missed so she was unable to go, in the same match Abhishek revived his form (I am not talking about Zimbabwe match because umm common it's Zimbabwe). Even in IPL I noticed the same thing Abhishek revived his form after that nightmare of world Cup. He was on streak of consecutive 50s but it was broken in the match against mumbai and idk coincidently or what she was present in that match. It was her first ipl match in which she was present in this season. After that match he has been delivering stinkers. Ik I sound very Orthodox and misogynistic which Istg I hate to sound but this just came across my mind😭😭😭 I just thought if maybe I share it online it could help in breaking the jinx. Also ik she's a female influencer so people might think I am attacking her because she's a woman but it is not like that why would I am also a woman😭😭

Still no posts for SRH...

I know we joke about him lurking on this sub and giving his fans crumbs on his snapchat every time someone makes a post about missing him.

I wonder...does he also lurks other subs. And by "other subs" I mean his franchise's subs? I wonder if he sees the posts that's been made by them- esp the ones against him or the ones declaring someone else the next SRH captain or the poster boy.

This radio silence isn't normal. Especially after his team qualified for the playoffs. There's something very very off about all this which only his fans are noticing while everyone else are high on wins.

ABHAY AND PLAYOFFS

guys don't come on me i just feel like it but why does it seem like abhay is looking off with everything? didn't see him in any celebration reels on the srh page except the bus one. He himself didn't posted any story or post ( he usually does) after matches. Also i read some reddit posts saying he's sick??? And there were also no pictures of him visiting any temple before the match ( he always does that). is it really that he's been really quiet lately and something is off or I'm just overthinking???
