According to this article, DeBeers have partnered up with JioHotstar (owned by Jio Star/Ambanis) to feature a little campaign of their own, talking about the "jewels" of every match throughout the cricket matches that will be featured on JioHotstar and Star Sports.

While they had done it during last year's IPL as well, back then, neither Abhishek nor SKY were signed on as DeBeers brand ambassadors so that campaign didn't really get much steam.

So they course corrected and got these two on board for more visibility.

Basically THIS, coupled with the relentless promotion Star Sports have been doing for Abhishek ever since the start of the T20 WC itself, gives me a clearer picture of what's about to come- MI saw the opportunity and pounced on it AS THEY SHOULD! 😝

Even the TOI article had mentioned MI as one of the teams he had "unofficial talks" with. And please don't come up to me with the whole His-father-wore-SRH-jersey bs- I'll just LOL at you.

I wore my school's PT t-shirt as long as it fit me even after leaving school. It didn't mean that I failed my 12th ISC boards and couldn't get to college. 🥱

The other thing that one YT channel called "Chase masters" pointed out which escaped me was the fact that Sahil Malhotra from TOI added that the SRH CEO had called that chatter "not true"...and yet he went ahead and published it anyway.

This only means that Abhishek's own team must've given him the input so basically he got it from the horse's mouth.

His mindset is so inspirational.
