Isolate output of Podmic?

I'm using my new Duo for my streaming radio station. I'm using the Duo much like an old-school analog mixer as follows:

Slider 1: Podmic
Slider 2: Music Playout software from PC
Slider 3: PC sounds (so I can do some production without that input going to 'air')
Slider 4: the Pads on the Duo

The USB1 is output to Butt for broadcast.

My question is this - Is there a way to keep my Podmic from going to air when I want to do that sometimes? I would like to record some stuff without the Podmic being heard on air while doing so.

Mike not going to 'air'

I'm using a Duo. I can hear all inputs in my headphones fine, including my mike.

However, my mike is not going to air, but all of the other inputs are.

How can I fix that, and setup my Duo so I hear the final mix in my headphones?

I'm stumped, likely because I'm used to old school analogue equipment.

Can barely hear myself in headphones

All new equipment, so I'm a noob with rode.

I have the podmic, Duo and rode headphones.

My PC is connected to the usb 1 port. My pc is playing music using some dj software.

My podmic is connected to the mic port #1.

If I stop the music and turn the headphone volume up very high, I can hear myself just fine in the headphones. If I then play the music it's way too loud forcing me to lower the volume so much I cannot hear my voice in my headphones when talking over a music intro.

Both the music and my headphones are pretty much the same on the slider's graphs in terms of volume. It's just the balance between the two in my headphones that I can't seem to figure out.

A recording sounds fine, by the way. I would just like to hear myself better when speaking.

I am not using studio monitors yet, so none are connected.

Obstacle Detection Mode PSA

Discovered something yesterday after updating both the app (Android) and the firmware on my Luba 2 AWD 5000H.

When editing a saved 'Task' and looking at the 'Obstacle Detection Mode' setting, it said 'Standard' as if it was already set to Standard. When I clicked on it, however, in the next screen the setting showed it was actually set to 'Sensitive'.

So I then chose 'Standard' (which is what I've always had it set to), saved the change, closed the app, then went back into that setting and it showed 'Standard' again and when I clicked on it to change it again it showed 'Standard' and not 'Sensitive'. Issue fixed.

The reason I looked at this at all was because my Luba was stopping on a very narrow part of one of my zones every time it went there. So, thinking it was an Obstacle Detection Mode thing I went to the app to check it.

Changing the setting fixed the issue I was having with that spot. So - if you check that setting, be sure to 'change' it to what you want it to be and 'save' the change - even if it says it's already set to what you want.

Otherwise, my Luba is running just as well as it always has.
