Was doing peer review and most of them are great artist as they're stealing (>!plagiarizing)!< ) left, right & center!

One of the common question on this sub-reddit is about the worth of the courses, and then there is this lot, who is plagiarizing copy-pasting the whole assignment, I really wonder have they figured out a way to use the certificates in some monetarily significant manner, or they're simply lost cause.

Nonetheless, this is my rudimentary data analysis from the kind of assignments I reviewed:

Issues Details Proportion
Copy-paster Ctrl C + Ctrl V Most
Plagiarizer When one plagiarizes they atleast pretend that the content is their own. Some did! Some
Dumb-dumb Incomplete, or couldn't understand the basic requirements of assignment. Few
Doer Did the work, but alas wrongly. They have my respect! A few
Heavy-worker Having a myriad of reasons to not do the work or to take the road frequently taken, added with having relatively non-existent surety of any material benefits, one needs to not only acknowledge but also admire the ones who are truly working on their identity. A different group of muscles need to get activated when in a self-study pursuit added with the fact that it is completely devoid of all the pros of a formal traditional academic endeavor. Countable

Freelance is a multifaceted profession, what aspect is truly the most difficult aspect for you & your niche?

For me it is Lead gen (think whole pipeline till conversion) , although I haven't applied even a pinch of my extensive strategy, but till now that feels the hardest.

What segment is most painful for you, also please mention your niche.

What's the definition of GTM for you?

GTM is a multifaceted strategic process, right as:

 1. It isn't just using set of tools, otherwise Claude and agentic platforms can do what you do.

 1. It isn't just sales, as it needs positioning, marketing funnels, etc

 1. It isn't just marketing, as it needs leads, enrichment, outreach, and all those shenanigans.

It isn't just CRM management, system creation, not at all coding but needs programming knowledge, not just strategy as needs execution.

So, what's YOUR definition of GTM for your niche for your ICP?

Yesterday's scare regarding Notion mishaps, data loss, and the inability to export smoothly made me do this.

I am trying to figure out some workarounds so that I NEVER lose my data.

I have my whole life in Notion: DBs interconnected with various other DBs, page-long native formulas, and even multi-platform integrations(sales, marketing, outreach, LLM, what not), >!some of them being legit systems for clients and prospects!<.

So found a workaround (not too innovative tho), still haven't validated the workaround, and I also need to make it airtight so that if data loss ever happens, I can easily get everything back without needing to do any repairs. So will share after validation.

HOWEVER, while I was doing that, I saw my total number of blocks (in one of my workspaces) and felt like doing dic Notion matching with you all. lol /s

So, how deep are you in Notion?

Which funnel has a higher conversion rate: LinkedIn DMs or email?

I would like to know, based on your personal experiences and for your specific ICPs, which funnel has generated more conversions for you?

Like I would assume that LinkedIn DM would be higher, as faster, more personal, have more ways to warm up prospects n all.

Please mention your niche when responding.

What's your ideal GTM stack?

We all agree that GTM is a multifaceted strategical process, right!
So, what's your ideal GTM stack?

And assume that you're trying to have an extremely optimized (cost) & lean stack, and can opt-in only 3 tools, is , what would that be?

Also, when sharing your stack, please mention your niche.

Notion consultants and developers

I would want to know from consultants and developers, how do you sustainably (recurring and efficiently) get clients? How do you find them and then convert? How is your personal experience doing this?

If you're doing this as full-time, do you think this is a sustainable model?

Also, who are your ICPs and if someone wants to go help enterprise is that even feasible?

Is Lead gen (think whole pipeline till conversion) truly the most difficult aspect for you & your business?

I have been hearing this, from freelancers, to businesses (be it SaaS, digital products, service or product business, early or growth stage) that this is the hardest aspect.

**I wanted to explore the truth.** And if it is, why do you think: basic supply demand problem, AI, too narrow niche or what?

Please if not an inconvenience, mention your niche when answering.

How do I know, if the system I have created is really advanced?

First of all, I know this is an open ended question and a few audit questions could be:

 1. Does it solve the real problem?

 2. Is it scalable?,

Etc

However, it's not really simple, is it!

 1. Yes, it solves real problem, but again it's not perfect, it's iteration 1, the output aren't perfect. ...

 1. Yes it is, checked various edge cases, and factored in permissions and operational ergonomics, multi platform integrated.

Furthermore, I do know the answer also maybe, it can be more, dog food it, keep on iterating n all.

Also, I am somewhat disheartened, like just factually saying I do know things, tech, various platforms, finance, real ex, operations, lead, content, strategy, obviously scattered maybe not linear otherwise the reality would have agreed, obviously. Not only narrowed to Notion. Job, freelance, both are hard to get and maintain and what not, maybe have taken too much as have various rules and guidelines.

Maybe I just wanna talk, can we discuss these things (again if wrong, and considering the amount of rules various sub reddits have these days, something would be off, also they say whatever deem as harassment will be considered like that, but I don't have any intention whatsoever so feel free to remove ig).

Any Notion developers, consultants here, anything personal ex wanna share my people?

Also not selling, not even comfortable with sharing otherwise would have shared loom or something.

Sales cures it all

I have a believe, sales cures it all, it's the solution to all problem. Product or service might not be the most perfect thing out there, but if one can source and close, they'll live the other day to make their product better.

Obviously in practicality, it's much more nuanced than that.

So freelancers,

How do you practically and sustainably get your leads, I want to know what practical steps or systems you guys have, if you use any platform (be it for freelance, sales, LinkedIn, upwork, clay, etc).

Please just mention your niche too and what's the funnel or process that gave you the most efficient and asymmetrical return

What's the real deal with Upworkers ?

Every community has those few questions that keep popping up, and for this community, it's:

Is Upwork dead?

 1. Well, if it is, then how tf are these guys earning: How To Land Six-Figure AI Clients On Upwork (Ryan Ramshaw,). Counterargument could be: well, he's a course seller, and if he's earning that much, then why does he need to sell a course? Because he shows his past earnings and all.
 2. And, who are these guys then: upworkmrr , com . Now some may say: only a few are earning.

Well, isn't that true almost everywhere? From content creator views to income distribution to SKU consumption in companies, the Pareto principle (80/20) seems to apply to most systems.

And it's obviously not a pragmatic strategy to rely only on Upwork, especially given how demand-centric it is (as in, not giving much of a fuck about freelancers, i.e. service providers).

But I think we all need to understand that, considering this new reality of >!AI !<(almost completed the post without using THE word), except for people who just want to freelance once in a while to make a few bucks, we are practically running a business.

The inherent dynamic of business is that getting leads is hard, converting leads is hard, maintaining a pipeline is hard, and basically everything is hard. However, the pros include upside and control.

One more thing, and don't quote me on this, but I think Upwork has around 16 million freelancers, while this subreddit has around 45k members, less than 1%. So anyone new probably shouldn't build their entire view from recent posts here.

Lastly, it would actually be enjoyable to see if any of us are doing well, what hacks or techniques you guys are applying that are working, and more posts with that kind of vibe.
