After 29 rounds we narrowed down a single building - the Church of St Mary in Beddgelert, Wales. I created a video timelapse of every round, but this subreddit does not allow videos, so a gif will have to do.

Why don't you keep going?

As I stated in my previous post, it was going to be difficult to get the detail needed to make an informed opinion when going any further, and I also didn't want people voting on which remain of dead relatives were better.

How did you decide who won the last round, there were more comments for the other side?

The voting was always done by the most upvoted comment.

Does this mean the Church of Saint Mary is the best place in the world?

That's up to you to decide, but it does seem my very scientific method has found a nice candidate.

This is going to be controversial for Round 23. Instead of splitting into exact halves, I have decided to put the village of Beddgelert in yellow, with everything else in blue. I think this is the most efficient way of getting to an end result, as the alternative would be putting the town against mostly empty fields for several rounds. This is the last stage supported by my source so far mapchart.net, so I have found a new and more time consuming method for a planned continuation. I will continue for those that have asked for it, but for those that feel this has gone too far feel free to consider this the last round.

Round 1: Asia/Oceania/Russia is eliminated

Round 2: Americas are eliminated

Round 3: Africa is eliminated

Round 4: East/North/Central Europe is eliminated

Round 5: Tomato Western Europe is eliminated

Round 6: France/Belgium/Luxembourg/Switzerland is eliminated

Round 7: Netherlands/Ireland/Iceland is eliminated

Round 8: Scotland/Isle of Man/Far North England is eliminated

Round 9: Eastern England is eliminated

Round 10: South West England/Worcestershire/Warwickshire/West Midlands/Staffordshire is eliminated

Round 11: North West England/Shropshire/Herefordshire is eliminated

Round 12: South Wales is eliminated

Round 13 was pretty clear, and we're down to 4 principal areas of Wales.

Based off previous comments made by Welsh people here I'm pretty sure this round is not going to be close, but 4 must be reduced to 2 before it can get to 1.

Round 12 was clear that South Wales must go, and we're down to Mid/North Wales.

We're also getting to the point where knowing anything about the region becomes more and more niche, but you've always got google if you want to make an informed decision for such important research.

Round 11 was an absolute landslide, and Wales has been crowned as the best country in the world through the process of elimination. However, the show must go on.

A lot of people have asked how far this will go - I haven't planned that far ahead, however I feel like voting on two Welsh villages you have never heard of and have no way to distinguish may not be as exciting as people think, so it may be coming to a close soon.

Round 10 was absurdly close, for a while both sides had exactly the same amount of upvotes. However, at the time of posting this, the most upvoted grey comment has 101 votes whilst green has 92, so we're down to Wales and 6 counties of England.
