Walking for exercise with or without afo's?

Recently started walking on the treadmill for exercise instead of stationary cycling and it's more difficult, but I like the functional gains it supports. Would you recommend walking for exercise with or without AFOs? I usually only wear them at work, and without them otherwise, but I'm not sure if walking without them is supporting maladaptive compensatory mechanisms and worsening my gait, or reinforcing compensatory mechanisms that support a functional gait without my AFOs on.

  1. updating Samsung AOD app and system
  2. ensuring it's set to always on
  3. disabling power saving and adaptive power saving
  4. restarting
  5. force stop and clear AOD app cache, then data
  6. uninstall and reinstall aod updates
  7. being gaslit by Samsung customer support and told that the always on display is not supposed to always be on

TurboMed brace - how to get through insurance

Hi all. I got traditional AFOs a while back and every time I try to wear them, I can't stand them. They're inconvenient, unnatural, bulky, and painful in multiple spots. I'm really interested in getting the TurboMed external foot brace, and I'm wondering what I need to do to have it covered by insurance.

Presumably I need a new prescription for my neurologist. Does it need to say I didn't tolerate traditional AFOs? How would I go about having it covered through Physiotech? There aren't any orthotisists near me indexed on the TurboMed website, so I don't think the one that prescribed my current AFOs will work with me to get TurboMeds

Do tuxedo urchins decimate coralline?

90g tank, most of my rock has a healthy purple color, but a couple are bare and there's no coralline on my back wall or glass.

I want a tuxedo urchin, but if I had to choose, I'd rather have coralline-encrusted live rock. What have been your experiences? Will a tuxedo urchin noticeably clear my coralline over time?

Rear service bay screws no longer screw

Changed my oil for the first time, and when I first opened the metal service bay cover (beneath the trunk floor panel) some of the screws just fell through to the washer without latching onto any thread. The second time I noticed that all but two screws didn't latch. It seems like they're losing some clip on the underside of the service bay cover that allows them to screw in. Anybody else experience this?

Minimalist 700c bike racks

I have a Giant Defy that I'm planning to use as my commuter, but I'm going to need a rack to keep from getting a sticky back. Unfortunately, most of the bike racks I'm seeing are either bulky/hideous, incompatible, or extremely expensive (Tailfin). Any recommendations?

Building a floating canopy

Hi all. Upgrading to a 90gal (48x24x16) rimless peninsula and I'm building the stand and canopy myself. I want to make a floating canopy as pictured:

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/240g-peninsula-stand-and-canopy-build.546368/

However, this is my first woodworking project and I'm not sure the best way to approach this.

Tank stand 48x24, and the plywood skin will extend a few inches to cover the overflow then rise up to the canopy. Light fixture will therefore extend about 55in from the mounting point, and it's handing a t5/led hybrid so it'll be hefty. I'm not sure whether to use unistrut to mount the fixture to the wall and cover it with plywood, or to add 2x4 reinforcements to the stand and secure vertical unistrut to the stand itself and mount the canopy to that.

Really, I'm not sure what actually needs to be done to get this accomplished so I'm just fielding overall thoughts, ideas, and tips as I put it together. Thanks!
