S10 rewatch - what did people think of Tom Sandoval in real time?
Hi everyone - I’ve just randomly flicked on S10, starting around the time of Scheana & Brock’s wedding.
Firstly - my god this is art. I’ve only recently come to VPR and have done two full watches from S1ep1 through to end of S11. Randomly jumping into S10 half way through had given me a new appreciation of what entertaining TV this was.
I’ve just re-watched Ariana and Tom’s conversation about fertilising the eggs and his reluctance to stop drinking for 5 days, followed by Tom trying to pick a fight with Ariana about her being distant, not listening to him, never agreeing with him etc. It’s also wild they show the flashback to the reunion when Ariana calls Tom out on fertilising the eggs.
When this aired in real time, did people still like Sandoval at this point? Was anyone picking up on him picking fights with Ariana, or on any behaviour change? Did his behaviour around fertilising the eggs piss people off?
