Thanks to Projectivity and Tivimate, i finally managed to set up the TV to be as simple as possible for my Parents :

- Removed everything from the home screen , left just one app that is Tivimate, no settings, no shortcuts, no channels, etc.. i even removed the left bar ( which can be very confusing for an elderly person )

- Made sure Projectivity is set up as the default launcher using Launcher Manager and ADB command ( though everything works fine without that, sometimes native launcher tries to take over)

- made sure Tivimate is the starting app either In Projectivity settings and Tivimate settings ( Starts after boot, starts after back from sleep)

- In Tivimate Simplified settings to the Max , letft just ok and arrows buttons , disabled all extra buttons behavior like long press etc...( which for a senior may take him to a different menu)

- changed display seize to the max

if anyone knows any other tricks , let me know

Edit : The command which you can apply ATV tools to force Projectivity as the main launcher is below:

am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -c android.intent.category.HOME

isn't it possible to add an option that automatically pauses a Video Wallpaper so that PiP works with apps Like Tivimate, VLC, etc......

anyone else struggling with the " Now Playing " feature despite all of the updates? in my case Projectivity launcher kills most background Activity, Tivimate PiP gets killed instantly, though it works perfectly with the native launcher, Even for some apps that do show " Now Playing " like YouTube, i have to disable, then Enable Notifications permissions of Projectivity everytime so that it works! tried all know fixes, Permissions, Energy Optimization etc... nothing worked

Anyone tried it yet?

EDIT : tried it didnt install : Install Failed NO Matching _ABIS , so i dont understand why all the hate and Sensitivity, though it was a pretty simple and legit Question.

I know this is not the the place for that , but please if anyone has a working URL for T.Rex Please dm me , mine is down.

Edit : not sure i understand why all this hate , as i explained i already know it is not the right place , i have been an active member of this group for so long and i have been defending the app everywhere, also have helped lotta people with their problems, i assumed we can every once and a while make an exception! I know it is a provider issue , but i couldn't contact him , so what ! , and why some people are so offensive!! ? What we can talk about here ?? Tivimate settings?? Most already know them by heart , no relevant update for so long , the app is even no longer on the playstore, and may never get updates anymore or even stop working! Anyway , as i expected someone very nice , did Dm me and helped me with a new Url
