Straw cups ok / recommendations

Two fold question here!

  1. My 4 year old uses straw cups almost exclusively. He of course knows how to use an open cup, uses them flawlessly, he just asks for his straw cups. Is there any issue with him primarily using straw cups? Is it bad to use straws that often? I’m not sure why I think it is - for facial muscles maybe?

  2. He CHEWS on his straw cups. I’d prefer less plastic in our house. When he does have hard plastic straws, they end up getting smushed when he chews. Silicon he legitimately ends up biting parts of it off. What am I missing? Do you have straw cups recos for a biter?

Learning / sensory / fun activity ideas to include kiddos in World Cup fun

I have a sports-obsessed 4 year old, and we’re gearing up for the World Cup in our city. We’re so excited!

Any crafts / activities / games etc that I can plan for World Cup specifically, soccer, or even countries? We live in the US but want to learn more about other countries too.

We so far have:
-printed out the Groups with flags
-planning on some all out America fan stuff - glitter tattoos, headbands, socks, shirts
-going to find / design a coloring book with kits
-thinking some themed menus / international grocery trips

My son uses sports to learn about the world, so also looking forward to using this as a way to learn new cultures / history / geography / language.

Would love to hear of any ideas you have!

I know that England is using Swope as a practice facility, but are there specific bars / pop ups / events for England fans? I live here, I just don’t know British things here lol.

I know that England is using Swope as a practice facility, but are there specific bars / pop ups / events for England fans? Is there another sub Reddit I should be posting in?

I have a British relative coming in, and would love to treat her around - I’m just not sure what’s “British” here!

32 - have just noticed this in the last week.

-moisturize using an eye cream and moisturizer
-typically wear a SPF bb cream and concealer, no change in product when this started

I first noticed it on my under eyes, when I applied my concealer it didn’t sit well (reference pic) and felt very dry and almost leathery. I tried using my bb cream instead, same result.

Today, a similar thing started happening on my eyelids - almost bumpy?

I have no idea what could be causing this! I know I need to take a break from makeup likely, and trying to navigate how to do that while working in corporate America.

Am I crazy that I can’t find any published plans for P&L watch parties?

I have to assume they’ll have every game on the big screen, but are they charging?

I have friends coming in to watch the USA vs Australia group game on June 19th since we’re off work, and I’m trying to figure out when to tell them to be here - the game is at 2. There’s another game at 11. Wondering if we get there at 9:30 is do able…. Parking isn’t an issue, I have a private lot downtown.
