Well don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t DIY this stuff, it’s just the amount of time you need to invest. Previous owner glued shiplap to wall and ruined the drywall on one wall so replaced that. Knew of termite damage and dry rot from an old window leak on and exterior wall. Replaced the whole wall of drywall, fixed the damage and then skim coated to level 5. Hated the outdated texture, so I fully sanded all of the ceiling, then skim coated the ceiling.

Not that you can’t DIY, but if you have the means hire a professional, it was a lot of fucking work solo.
