Please tell me all you know about the CFA exam/all I should know about it.

Hi all, I (F17) live in Mumbai. I am currently in the process of getting into an engineering college in Maharashtra. I am currently 17 years old and I am very curious about the CFA exam. Basically the thing is that I don't want to stay in the tech industry and I want to move towards finance and I feel this is the quickest way to do it.
I think this is a good age to start thinking about it as I will have a couple years to prepare for it. But I just looked up the CFA registration fee and it's about like 1.5lakh (rounding up). That is insane. I haven't talked to my parents about it yet because they're not exactly the supportive type and I'm not even sure if I truly want to give the exam or not, so please if someone can help me by answering these questions for me
1- what are the benefits of a CFA certification? I will be doing engineering from a tier 2/3 college so will it benefit me to get a good j\*b when I'm done because my college isn't known for great place\*\*ments.
2- when do you think I should start preparing? Should I give the exam after I complete my bachelors degree or before it as it will add a great certification to my resume?
3- how difficult is it? I do not have a commerce/finance related background at all. I have taken computers+PCM since 9th grade. Even my father and brother are in the tech industry. Will I be able to understand the material required for the CFA exam?
4- how do u get over the 1.5lakh registration fee? I mean it as it'll always be at the back of my mind that I'm paying such a big amount for this exam and if I fail, I'll have to spend it again. How to convince your tech parents that I want to get this certification???
5- just any other advice, tips, information about the CFA exam would be greatly appreciated. I really really want to go for it but I'm so confused, I can't seem to find a good road map from anywhere. If you were in my position, a 17 year old student about to go into an engineering college but wants to give the CFA exam, how would you start and what are the things you wished you had known?
PS- I know the exam might be tough and I'm ready to give it my all during my preparation. I failed JEE and have learned from my mistakes. I really really want to get into the finance world and if you guys have any other suggestions on how to get into the finance world I would greatly appreciate it.
