Today, I got the opportunity to observe Saturn through a telescope, all thanks to the Surat Astronomy Club! 🪐

It was honestly a wonderful experience to see Saturn with my own eyes through a telescope. We usually see pictures of planets online, but actually observing one through a telescope hits differently.

A special thanks to the host who guided us throughout the session. He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and had previously worked with ISRO. He explained things in such a simple and interesting way that even someone with little knowledge of astronomy could understand and enjoy it.

Another great thing was that the event was completely free. Registration was free, and there were no charges at all.

Really appreciate the efforts of Surat Astronomy Club for organising such an interesting experience for people in the city.

Yesterday's rain in Surat was unlike anything I've seen in a while. Roads were completely submerged, vehicles got stuck, and many people had to walk through waist-deep water just to get home. I spent the day moving around the city and captured a few moments of what it looked like.

Hope everyone stayed safe. Wishing for better drainage and faster recovery before the next spell of rain.

I used to wait for train journeys just to sit by the window and watch every passing moment.

Now, I close the curtains, climb to the upper berth, and hope nobody asks me to switch seats.

Growing up is weird.

Took a short break and spent some time in Kashi. Walked around a few ghats, watched the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, got lost in the narrow lanes, tried some local food, and just soaked in the atmosphere.

Not a planned trip, just a few peaceful hours wandering around the city. These are some of the moments I captured along the way.

Cost: Mostly walking around, food + local transport + boat ride ≈ ₹500-1000.

Today I visited the Shastra pradarshan exhibition organized by Surat City Police, and it was truly an amazing experience.

There were different types of guns, along with various equipment used by the police, firefighters, and other emergency services. Everything was displayed in a very informative way.

What I liked the most was how well the team explained each and every thing in detail. They were very friendly and made sure everyone understood properly. They even allowed us to hold some of the guns, which made the experience even more exciting.

Overall, it was a great learning experience and something different from the usual. Really enjoyed it 👍
