Gift for mom who keeps saying she doesn’t need anything

My mom has reached the point where every gift idea feels slightly wrong. She says she doesn’t need anything. Which is true. She buys practical things herself, does not want more random decor, and already has enough candles/lotions/tea towels to stock a small shop. She likes quiet weekends, good food, family time, and thing that feel thoughtful but not dramatic. I was thinking maybe a small personal gift plus something we can do together, like lunch or a low-key class.

What’s a good gift for a mom who doesn’t want more stuff?

Would a online therapists focused on teenagers feel less overwhelming for her?

Im really worried about my 17 yo cousin, and I don’t know how much longer my family can keep telling themselves this is just a phase. She used to be funny, talkative, and always making plans with people. Now she spends almost all of her time in her room, barely responds to messages, and has stopped seeing most of her friends. Even basic things seem to take so much energy. When anyone asks how she’s doing, she just says she’s tired or that everyone is making a big deal out of nothing. A few weeks ago I sat outside her room for almost an hour because I could hear her crying, but she wouldn’t let me in. The next morning she acted like it never happened. That’s the moment I realized how little we actually know about what she’s carrying. Her parents have brought up therapy, but she shuts down immediately and says she’s not going to sit in an office while a stranger asks her personal questions. I’ve been wondering whether a teen therapist online might feel less intense since she could stay somewhere familiar, but I also don’t want to push her into something that makes her pull away even more. I just feel helpless watching someone I love slowly disappear into herself.

Would online therapy be a good option for her?

Best AI gateways in 2026? What are people using in production?

We've been testing a few AI gateways over the past couple of months. Thing is I'm finding that the feature lists don't tell you much about how they'll perform. Some seem great if all you want is authentication and routing. Others add observability, policy enforcement, or governance. But there's a lot of overlap in how they're described.

Our AI team keeps reminding us that the gateway isn't just another API gateway. It ends up sitting in the middle of every request an AI agent makes. This means reliability and visibility matter just as much as performance.

Before we spend much more time testing, I'm keen to learn about what people in other companies are using in production. What have you found to be the best ai gateways in 2026, and what made you choose them?

Expense tracker that actually helps prioritize spending?

I'm happy with the tracking side of things. Most apps already do a decent job categorizing transactions. What I'm struggling to find is something that actually helps answer what deserves my attention first instead of giving me another set of charts to review. Has anyone found an app that's better at helping you decide what to do next?

I finally understand why people say not to trust TikTok for supplements

My wife and I were joking about how every other video recommends a different supplement for the exact same problem. I almost bought three different things before realizing none of the people making the videos agreed with each other. Now I'm back on Reddit because at least people argue and explain why they like something. Has anyone else gotten burned by social media recommendations?
