is giving a 2 week notice a joke?
I wanted to ask because I been seeing post about people saying that they tried to put in their 2 week notice but their manager either refuse or denied it just so they can stay. Also my cousin had this issue before where her boss ripped up her resignation papers because she didn’t want her to work at another job. I’m actually looking for another job myself and I told my co-worker that I’m looking for something different and she said don’t tell them that you’re looking for another job because if you do they will fire you on the spot. Let them know once you secured the new job. I totally don’t get about the whole 2 week notice thing if they’re just gonna terminate me anyways if I try to do the right thing and give them a notice.
Is it easy to get a job at Raising Cane’s? if yes, what do they really look for and what questions do they ask? I’m curious because people say it’s an easy job to get but a friend has been telling me that they were giving him a hard time. I wanted to ask because I’m trying to help him.
reddit.comThe second interview was too difficult so I didn’t get the job.
Unfortunately I didn’t get the job that I applied for but I had a feeling the second interview would be much more difficult than the first one because they were asking me questions that were too difficult than the ones they asked me over the phone but there’s always other opportunities. I don’t understand why they would ask people the most hardest questions when you know for sure that you can do the job because I work at a grocery store so I will never that understand. But I had a feeling this would happen.
I got an interview coming up next week for Dishwasher position and I’m very excited but nervous at the same time. I never shopped at Wegmans before but I heard so many good things about it.
reddit.comIs it possible to get hired at another ShopRite if I already work at a ShopRite operated by a different family?
So I’m currently working at a ShopRite but I am trying to transfer back to my local ShopRite that’s very close to my house but a manager at that location told me that I have to get the HR to call their HR which is very risky because what if they decide to fire me if I tell them that I put in an application for a different ShopRite owned by another family that’s closer to my area? The last time I asked my manager that I wanted to switch positions because I told him that the position I’m working in right now is stressing me out and he said No. So I applied to a different store that’s near my town because they were hiring for a position that I really want to work for. I went there and talked to them and the manager told me to wait until I’m hired at this store first before I put in my 2 week notice and she told me to call the HR in the morning to let her know that I talked to her so I did that but the HR told me that they don’t do transfers because they are operated by a different family (which I already know) and there was nothing she can right now. I’m not sure what I should do because that ShopRite told me that they would love for me to come back and work for them because they considered me a good worker but the lady that I talked to on the phone said there is nothing that she can do right now.
