What's All the Hype Around Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada About?

A while ago, I heard Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada, but unfortunately, I just don't think I get it? Many people consider it to be a highlight of GYBE's career, but to me, it sort of felt like epic instrumental rock without any real buildup? Like, I think I get the appeal of GYBE in general, but unfortunately, neither track on Slow Riot really had a satisfying conclusion to me specifically. It's still solid but not what I expected with all the praise it receives. The mediocre experience I had with the album really turned me off of GYBE for a while, but a few weeks ago, I heard F♯ A♯ ∞ and it was genuinely one of the absolute greatest things I had ever heard, and now I'm left a bit confused? I went back to Slow Riot many times, but I still don't think I get why many people praise it so heavily or call it the best introductory album to Godspeed?

I apologize if this post seems overly negative, as I want to emphasize that I don't think Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada is a bad Album/EP by any means (I still thought it was solid just not amazing like F♯ A♯ ∞), but I am coming from a place of genuine curiosity as to why people seem to like it so much. I do understand that it is entirely possible that Slow Riot just isn't for me, and that's ok, but I think knowing a bit more about the album might let me understand why it's so beloved on another listen :)

So, what are your guy's thoughts on Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada?

How Do I Learn To Love The Second Half Of Flood?

Ever since I first heard Flood, it quickly hit me as one of the most beautiful albums I had ever heard. Even the beginning (which I've seen some people criticize as overly repetitive) is extremely good to me, as I really appreciate its hypnotic melody. I love all the guitar work in the middle section of the song, and the part leading up to the metal transition with the vocals is really amazing. However, the second the heavy metal section of the song hits, I suddenly lose all interest, and all of the beautiful buildup is replaced with pretty much a single repetitive riff (although it is less interesting than the repetitive riff in part 1). After the metal section, the ambient riff that repeats just doesn't do it for me either, as while I love ambient stuff usually, it really just kills the momentum the song had going in a pretty unsatisfying way. I really want to know what so many people see in the song that I don't, as I really, REALLY enjoy the first segment, and feel guilty completely zoning at when the supposed "drop" (for lack of a better word) of the song hits. I've tried thinking of the riff as more of a wave of sound that's supposed to engulf you, rather than a traditional song, but that still doesn't change my disinterest in the later half. I understand that music is subjective, and I'll likely never appreciate the metal portion of the song as much as others, but I do want to hear what you guys think about the section, so I can gain a better appreciate of why it is there in the song.

What do you guys think about the second half of Flood, and what should I do to gain a better appreciation of the song?

Confused About What Triggered Act 3

>!Hi, so I'm a bit confused about what is going on in the story, since I just beat Act 2 and tried to fight PO3 as the final boss. However, I realized that I still had a weird deck from the mage scrybe fight, so I forfeited really quick to change it back. However, upon doing this, I triggered some kind of transition into act 3, and now PO3 has control. I think Act 3 is super cool, but I have no idea what I missed in the act 2 final boss and how PO3 took control, since I forfeited first turn. If anyone could please give me some info that I might have missed, it would be greatly appreciated, as I did not mean to screw up the boss encounter. Thank you!!<
