What happened between Noelle and Susie in the Chapter 2 weird route?

I remember that in that scene, instead of going to the Ferris wheel, Susie rushes out of Noelle’s room looking excited, and then tells Kris she’ll tell them later, but I’m pretty sure that she never did. Did Toby just forget or can it be inferred?

Long term scalp sensitivity

So my hair was relaxed ever since I was about 4 by my mom, and I'm about 21 now and still keep it relaxed out of convenience but might transition in a few years. So basically my mom didn't know what she was doing, so my scalp wasn't as protected as it should have been, and it was also left on for too long even when I would say it was burning. And also in the past it would be relaxed pretty much every month or so. Now that I've obviously taken over most of my hair care, I stretch my relaxers for months and prep my scalp, and also choose relaxers that don't burn as much. But even still certain spots are still sensitive on my scalp, especially those along the parting lines one would typically do for relaxing. The thing is, now if I touch those spots, or if I pull at them during a style, they hurt way more than the non sensitive points of my scalp, which is obviously a problem for protective styling or even daily styling. I'm 3 months post my last relaxer, and while I wouldn't say my scalp feels actively inflamed, the pain is still happening. I'm wondering what I can do to deal with this, because I'm kind of worried that my scalp is just permanently cooked, and I'm getting tired of dealing with this pain and getting gaslit about it my whole life.

Weird experiences with fic commenters

Okay, to be honest I think this is more of a reflection of the particular fandom that I was writing for. So a show I was watching ended recently and I have mixed feelings about it for multiple reasons. I’m sure some of y‘all will be able to infer which fandom I’m talking about based on context clues. I no longer particularly like this show or the fandom, but was frustrated by the writing and one character in particular. I haven’t written fic in a while since I’m busy with Original writing, so I thought , ‘Hey, why not write a quick crackfic?’ So I quickly made a crack one shot and posted it. The fic was bashing the character I don’t like, so I made it abundantly clear through the tags that it was bashing and may not be for people who like that character. I got three weird commenters.

The first was someone who had written a similar bashing fic and had asked if I had taken inspiration without crediting them. I actually had read their fic, but only after I had posted mine, and generally I don’t read fics in this fandom. I insisted it was a true coincidence, and they thankfully believed me and said they liked my fic. So that interaction wasn’t so bad.

The next was a commenter who snarkily pointed out that I had had someone mention a character in a context where it didn’t make sense. I was like, ‘Oh, my bad, somehow I mixed this characters name up with another character.” I honestly couldn’t be assed to change it though because I didn’t really care since people could see what i meant and the rudeness of the commenter kind of made me not want to do it anyway. Almost a week later, they then comment ‘And yet you haven’t changed it.’ Excuse me? Who does this person think they are? Entitled af.

And the last commenter was a guest commenter with a very derogatory username who commented something that was disgustingly misogynistic and transphobic so I had to delete it.

Honestly I was very surprised because I’ve never experienced this posting fanfic for any other fandom. Yet I’m not 100% surprised because this fandom is very toxic in ways I haven’t entirely seen before. Needless to say I don’t plan on ever writing for that fandom again if that’s how they treat fanfic writers.

Is anyone else starting to dislike the characters?

I don’t know if it’s just because I’m older now, but lowkey I’ve been feeling this way since I was about 15. I just find most of the characters kind of insufferable, and not in the normal teen way but from a writing perspective too. Their dialogue is too juvenile for their age too. I haven’t liked Sophie for a while and most of the other characters are annoying to me as well. The adults are all useless or evil. Even Keefe, my long term fav, gets on my nerves often. At this point I’ve read this series for almost 10 years and am a bit tired. The series really peaked at Neverseen.

There are some songs I like, like MLIMAM, Heaven, I’m your Man, and When Memories Snow, but even those are more like songs I wouldn’t skip if they came up on shuffle rather than songs I would actively click on. I think the main issue for me is the production, as I’m not a huge fan of most country-ish music (which is weird since I love the Crane Wives) and the songs don’t feel as hooky as some of her other work. Weirdly enough I like NATHTM more (though it’s still nowhere near my fav) because even though I have skips on this album, production wise and lyric wise it just resonates more with me. But weirdly enough I see people say they love the Land but don’t like NATHTM, which confuses me because my issues with both albums are similar since they have quite a similar sound and production. Some of the songs straight up sound the same. Anyway, I wonder if there are any others in the same boat. I’ve tried really hard to get into it but it just never clicks.
