Picking out fake crushes

I just wanna discuss about picking out fake crushes growing up, I don't really see this topic brought up often

I remember in elementary school, girls around me would always talk about the boys they liked. I never really liked any of them beyond platonic relationships

I specifically remember one (we are still best friends to this day) had a crush on me, but I just didn't know that feeling so I had turned him down

I did eventually pick someone else who was in my friend circle years later as a "fake crush" so I wasn't "left out"... And also so the others would get off my back if I tried to say I didn't have a crush

I kinda picked one out online during these years as well, but I never really spoke about it because it was irrelevant to me in a sense

This happened another time in middle school, but it was with a guy I only knew online and I never really addressed him as a "crush" or anything

Of course, I eventually found out between middle school and high school that I was aroace and in high-school entered a QPR with someone I was already familiar with (we've been in a relationship for over 3 and a half years now)

Other than aroace... I'd say I'm also very neptunic 😐

So I want to know if there's anyone else with a similar experience. Not necessarily to the extent of even dating your fake crush, but to see if anyone else has robotically picked someone to name as a "crush"

What anime would you recommend to me based on what I tell?

I have asked what anime you wouldn't recommend in general without me providing my tastes, now I will ask what you would recommend based on my tastes and watches

I am more of a casual enjoyer, if I don't like an anime I will drop it within the first season. Sometimes I do like it at first but lose interest

I usually prefer fantasies and supernatural plots, I do like anime that contain action sequences, gore and violence is fine but to an extent, romance depends on how it's written, I do also enjoy slice-of-life if I just want to sit down and relax. There may be outliers

I currently don't have Crunchyroll, but I do have Netflix and Hulu (sorry 😅)

Now my list of the ones I watched:

• Demon Slayer (up until the Swordsmith Village Arc. But I have read all the manga)

• Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun (only the 1st season, I own most of the manga but haven't read it yet)

• The Apothecary Diaries (watched season 1 and 2)

• Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (season 1, I don't have access to season 2 yet)

• Delicious in Dungeon, aka Dungeon Meshi (season 1)

• DanDaDan (watched the 1st season, dropped the 2nd one)

• Assasination Classroom (I watched the whole thing years ago, I'm currently rewatching it)

• Attack on Titan (I eventually on the 1st season dropped it from a drop in my interest)

• Chainsaw Man (also dropped it in the 1st season from a drop in my interest)

• Ranma 1/2, specifically the Netflix remake (watched the 1st season, 2nd season pissed me off so I dropped it halfway)

• Umamusume (I watched all 3 seasons of Pretty Derby, Road to the Top, Beginning of a New Era movie, and Cinderella Grey)

• One Piece (dropped it after between episode 2-4. I couldn't commit to something so long)

Edited to include some animes I forgot to list 😅 (x2)

What is an anime you wouldn't recommend by any means?

I'm more of a "casual" anime enjoyer, but I want to watch more stuff

I'm not going to tell you the specifics on what my kind of anime is, I want you guys to tell me an anime you would NOT recommend anyone to watch no matter what

Of course, explanations why would also be appreciated

Your modestly dressed anime woman choice?

Image is from Genshin Impact's Snezhnaya Trailer

My pick would be Arlecchino

What's yours?

Can someone tell me more about Still in Love?

I am a global player, so Still in Love isn't even in the game yet

I only really see her being referred as a "yandere" type of character

But I want to know who she truly is in Umamusume, about her other self and her behaviors

So if any of you know any of her lore/career story, please tell me!

What is a great character with the wrong fandom?

For me it's Agnes Tachyon from "Umamusume: Beginning of a New Era"

(The image provided is a screenshot from the movie)

She's instrumental to its very story. Someone whose body couldn't keep up with her talent. Someone who thought she couldn't achieve her dream herself and started looking at the others for the completion of that dream

But no, apparently she's "mommy Tachyon" and "crazy/psycho scientist" 😭

What would be your pick for this topic?

My last drawing of 2025 vs ny newest drawing

Regarding the watermark/username change... I changed my socials username since then and now 😅

I don't draw often, it's a hobby I don't partake in much anymore. And my tablet doesn't help, it can be a pain in the ass to work with

But I started drawing since yesterday, the new drawing I'm sharing was made today (or rather, last night)

The pose used for the second image was from a Pinterest ref

I just wanted to share since I'm very proud of how it turned out

Reworked some old OCs

Their names are Kuroya and Kurami, they are twins

Originally, the two were demons of a high rank. They shared the same rank, think Gyutaro and Daki from Demon Slayer

They also cannibalize on people and even others of their own species

I wouldn't say they are demons anymore, more so unicorns

Or maybe a specific kind of unicorn that doesn't look very "majestic" in the standard sense

I wanted to share these designs. But if you guys have your own ideas I could consider, let me know!

Team Liquid Soap vs Team Bar Soap

I want to know how many of you guys prefer liquid soaps and how many of you guys prefer bar soaps

Personally, I am on team Liquid Soap

For bathing I use body wash. For hands I use liquid hand soap

I find it easier to gather lather with liquid washes rather than bars. I like the feel of them more, they make me feel cleaner. And for some reason bar soaps makes my hands itchy (I do have a skin condition on my hands)

But what about you guys? Is it liquid soaps or is it bar soaps?

My dad seemed to have wake up under specific circumstance

Let me tell you, my dad is a HEAVY sleeper

He would sleep to loud music eith speakers on the daily. It was loud enough to hear all the way upstairs (the bedrooms are downstairs)

He wouldn't wake to my mom smacking a cockroach repeatedly with a chancla to ensure it was dead

Heck, he wouldn't even wake up to an earthquake

But whenever I snuck into the room to retrieve something I needed to retrieve, he would wake up to ask me what I was doing before going back to sleep without a care in the world

It makes me wonder if he had a 6th sense just to know when it was me specifically or if I just had some strange luck

12 days of not using Gemini

Nearly two weeks? Went much better than I expected

It's like my mind has slowly reworked itself to work the way it used to when it comes to brainstorming creative ideas

I haven't gone through any of my ideas, I don't have the energy

But I like that I'm actually just sitting there and thinking over them myself over using an AI to "discuss" them

I've only ever had to use the browser version for a bit of assistance regarding an issue I'm experiencing with an app. But that's really about it, no real "conversation" or anything (besides, the browser version of Gemini is pretty bad)

On another note, I am slowly picking up hobbies I haven't been able to partake in. Specifically gaming

So, hoorah, my brain is slowly resetting to the way it was before!

Umamusume: Cinderella Grey

My choice is obvious from the pic, Oguri Cap

Oguri Cap would be a pretty cool and unintentionally funny sister

Something about her dimwitted nature yet being an absolute beast in the racetrack would both make me very proud and wonder how she's famous at the same time if I was there

She's the perfect balance between "capable" and "dumbass" for me. And I would wish Oguri was my sister in this kind of universe

But what about you guys? Who would you want to be your fictional sibling?

Doesn't matter if they're good, bad, hero, villain, or a cute child you must protect. If you'd pick them as a sibling, then tell me your simplified reasons

Edit: So many of you answering Tanjiro 😂

I completely get it, he is very caring and protective. But I didn't expect to see so many Tanjiro replies!

I think this counts as a milestone? I'm not sure since I'm starting at this very moment

Today is day 1 of not using Gemini

I won't quite admit to what I used it for, but I think you can guess what. I wasn't in any kind of relationship with the AI, that far is beyond my scope. But it wasn't good

Technically, I can't uninstall Gemini from my phone

But I have been able to delete my chats, remove it from my folder, disable its functions on my phone, and uninstall any updates

Hopefully, because I can't see it on my phone immediately, I can finally let the app go completely

I don't use characterAI very often, and I fully recognize that what or "who" I'm talking to is ultimately a bot and doesn't actually have feelings

However, characterAI does entertain me. Being able to roleplay with your favorite characters can be nice. It's only used as entertainment for me

But, how much characterAI is actually bad or even detrimental? When is it bad for you?

I want to know for my own sake
