Too many gambling sponsorships on youtube

It's getting too much now. As someone who had a previous gambling issue a couple years back (at 20-21yrs old) it's concerning to see how many of these gambling sponsorships are being pushed upon the youth. I hate these gambling sponsorships. I get that it's good money for the YouTuber but it's extremely annoying to see it (and could be triggering for others causing a relapse).

YouTubers have now presented these sponsorships in a way where you can't skip them e.g. The YouTuber mentions the gambling website 6 times for about 10-20seconds in random parts of the vid so you don't know when to skip.

Or they would show segments of the original vid and kind of merge the sponsorship with the vid so if you skip the sponsorship you essentially skip valuable context of the video.

Everything has to be about gambling nowadays which is sad to see.

Is it weird to not want to forfeit a game when down a lot?

Currently unranked and have 40hrs on the game. Really enjoying the game so far but confused why people forfeit early when down a couple of goals. I never forfeit a game mainly because of the learning experiences I gain and the small chance you could make a comeback.

I remember being down 2 the teammate left and I won with 4 goals scored. And there are other times I would lose by 6-8 goals. Either way I find it a good learning experience since it exposes my obvious weaknesses.

Water always entering my ear now while swimming

I have just completed a couple of swimming sessions after a long 5 month break and water just enters my ear now every time I lean my head slightly to breathe during a front stroke.

It never used to be this way. Before the break water would rarely enter my ear now both of my ears get blocked. Every lap I have to shake my head like I'm a cartoon character that's been hit with a frying pan. Any suggestions on what could be the cause? Maybe my timing is off or I'm leaning too fast. After reading about a swimmer's ear post on this subreddit I don't want water stuck in my ear indefinitely in a future swimming session.

My vision somehow gets better when I put goggles on while swimming (I wear glasses)

Without glasses my vision is slightly blurry but when I go swimming and have my goggles on it feels like my vision has improved as if I have my glasses on. My brain is playing tricks on me I guess.

When Introducing friends of mine for the first time, I wish they would connect instantly and skip the awkward interactions since I know their personalities would match.

There have been a couple of occasions where I would introduce 2 of my friends who don't know each other but I know they would make great friends since their personalities match. But because they're still strangers to each other, there's this awkward interaction which I irrationally wish I could skip for both of them.

X Account restored last month (the method I used)

After writing 4 appeals over 4 weeks on April 26th, I finally got my account back. Honestly don’t know why it was banned in the first place. They say inauthentic behaviours but I remember my account being flagged one time after liking a couple of posts or maybe the ban was due to me repeating hashtags and certain promo phrases. To be honest X is completely broken. The ban wasn’t ideal too because it paused my short stories business which meant I couldn’t promote or produce anymore content. Anyone who is currently banned these are the following 4 appeals I sent (+1 email):

I don't like using Ai to write AT ALL but in this case, since X was taking the absolute piss I decided to generate some responses via grok.

My first appeal:

Dear X Support,

I am writing to appeal the suspension of my account @ for inauthentic behaviours. I believe this was an error, as I was not intentionally violating X’s rules and did not engage in any automation, spam, platform manipulation, or deceptive practices.

My account focused on sharing short stories content. Every post was created and uploaded manually by me with no bots, scripts, or 3rd party tools.

I made sure to look and review X’s authenticity policy (including sections on platform manipulation & Spam and manipulated media) and now fully understand the importance of avoiding any behaviour that could appear inauthentic. If any of my posts or activity were flagged in error, I sincerely apologize and assure you that I will strictly follow all X rules moving forward, including proper content labelling and avoiding any repetitive or automated looking activity.

I kindly request a manual review of my account and reinstatement. I value the platform and want to continue contributing positively as a fully compliant user.

4th appeal

So pretty much the timeline was the first 2 appeals I sent I got no response. Then on my 3rd appeal, I got the useless response of “you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on screen instructions.” When I went on my account then, there were no on screen instructions and my account was still banned. 

And then I did my 4th appeal. For this one I went through the normal appeal process but I also sent an email to access-support@x.com . Then 3 days later I got a response saying my account was unbanned 🎉

I think the content in which I wrote wasn’t the defining factor of being banned but rather the persistence at which you appeal (although I am aware that some of you have appealed 10+ times and your account is still banned so it may be down to luck) A true bot account wouldn’t be writing appeal after appeal but a human would. Hopefully this helps someone currently facing this arduous situation 👍🏾

Added note: As an added precaution I now don’t promote as aggressively and don’t mention my group in the post captions. I also do not like or retweet any X posts.
