Preferably ones with good grammar since bad grammar really turns me off a fic. I don’t really care if it’s Tom or Voldemort, as long as it’s in Harry’s time.

There is an indescribable emotion I feel whenever I am faced with a genius that belongs to someone other than me
I would say that my brain reminds me to be a better person over valuing my desires, or that my heart feels joy on behalf of the other and outweighs my brain striving to be better than them,
But I suppose neither is true, for my brain strives and my heart desires
I find myself spewing hollow congratulations while plotting to outshine their meager but shiny achievements
That indescribable emotion and feeling of failure is, and always will be, my fatal flaw, my downfall, my ruin, my inevitable demise.

I think I’ve placed it now, that unknown feeling which causes me that insatiable want
Envy
Of course, they would have placed it sooner than me, if they even feel it with their self-satisfied smiles and casual demeanor
My unremarkable appearance has benefitted me, now that it hides the growing green in my eyes when faced with someone simply better than me
This envy unlike anything I have ever known, I don’t know whether it will be my undoing or my greatest strength
But if that is my greatest strength, then there is truly nothing noteworthy in these horrid pounds of unremarkable human flesh
I guess they will always be better than me.
