Hello, everyone!

Well, I'm here to ask a question about the box set which includes all of Green Day's first eight albums (from 1039/ Smoothed Out Slappy Hours to 21st Century Breakdown).

I'd just like to ask if anyone else had trouble with their CDs skipping after a while because mine hasn't even been opened and used for a year and some CDs, namely Insomniac, Nimrod and American Idiot are already skipping.

Did anyone have a problem with these or other discs on their box sets?

Hello everyone!

I'm back with the conclusion to the lending of CDs I have been making since September to my Portuguese teacher.

On the last update, I said I would gift him a 21st Century Breakdown CD at the end of the school year as a surprise, and so I have done today.

He'd asked me to make him a drawing of his granddaughter, so I told him I'd give him the drawing this Friday (I said this on Tuesday), so, today I gave him the drawing and he started asking me how much I wanted for it, and I said it was free.

He said he wouldn't accept me offering him the drawing, so I said "If you don't let me offer you this, then, at least, let me offer you something else I've got for you." and told him to close his eyes and hold out his hand.

I gave him the CD, and you just had to be there to see the smile on his face. He was so happy!

He made me cry afterwards, because this was the last day that he was actually my teacher, and I am really thankful for having had the pleasure of knowing him and doing this sharing of Green Day with him.

We both had a great time doing it, I suppose you could even say that we had the time of our lives (pun intended).

In the end, I'd like to safely conclude that: I have created and Idiot.

An Idiot who really loves "East Jesus Nowhere".

Found out about them today!

They've got one album out, released last year, and it's great! Still haven't given the EPs a listen, but I really enjoyed them.

They're Portuguese, from Viana do Castelo and sing in English

I don't know if anyone actually keeps up with these, but I've been, since September, working on making my Portuguese teacher a part of our fandom. And I would say that I did quite a good job.

This was my last update on this, and today I come with his conclusions about 1039/ Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Saviors.

He said that nothing stood out from the first album, and I mean absolutely nothing, yet from the latter, he did have some opinions.

He had favourites, and they were:

• "The American Dream is Killing Me"

• "Bobby Sox"

• "One Eyed Bastard"

• "Dilemma"

He also liked "Father to a Son", but he preferred those four.

Also, small correction from earlier on in the journey, he actually liked Dookie, lol, he told me yesterday.

I stopped here, he didn't listen to the Trilogy nor Father of All... because I had to make choices.

I didn't think he'd like any of these, firstly, and secondly, my time ran out.

I only had time for one more album, and decided to lend him The Black Parade instead, to change things up a bit.

Could I have lent him 21stCBD again? Yes, I could because that was his favourite, but then the surprise wouldn't be nearly as unexpected, am I right?

I said it on my last update, but if you don't want to go read it, I'm going to gift him a copy of 21stCBD at the end of the school year as a thanks, for him to be able to listen to "East Jesus Nowhere" (which is his favourite song) anytime he wants, and just because I can't think of a better way to express how grateful I am for him having made some time to humour me and listen to my silly little favourite band.
