What are they like in your Universe: part 22

Time for another midweek batch. And for this one, I think I'll include someone infamous among other villains. The batch: MEPHISTO, High Evolutionary, Ultron, Apocalypse, Dr Doom, Kang the Conquerer, and Galactus

Justice League of the Gods and Monsters Universe

I'm a sucker for redesigns that do things drastically different yet can still be identified as an alternate version of the main universe equivalent. And with Gods and Monsters, they really went in a drastically different direction. Batman being Kirk Thorton, Superman being the son of Zod raised by Mexican immigrants rather than Kansas farmers, and Wodern Woman being a New God as opposed to an Amazon.

  • Superman: As opposed to the cape and the undies, this Superman is much more pragmatic in both personality and design. His appearance isn't as welcoming as Clark's and that serve to highlight how this Superman is distant. He does care about the world and its people (even if it's hardly mutual) and prioritizes the logical solution. Even if the logical solution isn't always the easiest.
  • Batman: Kirk's design is even more uninviting which definitely gets the point across that he isn't a man, he's a monster to be feared by the ciminal element who is burdened by a hunger he can't solve. Being a vampire, he stalks his prey with precision and won't stop until he gets his target. And the red lenses of his batsuit help him deal with his enhanced eyesight when it's daytime.
  • Wonder Woman: New Gods wearing bizarre outfits is nothing new (Black Racer is a prime example considering he's meant to be a death god yet looks like a colorful skier.) And while Bekka's outfit is far removed from the standard red, blue, white and gold of Diana, it speaks as a sign of her heritage as a new god. And I mean, her sword just looks cool. And despite her experience with treachery and trauma, she still wears white to show her purity and commitment to being a symbol of unity.

By the power of god

Let's say in an alternate timeline or during some sort of event, your sona is made into the herald of a legendary figure's power like Moon Knight being the herald of Khonshu or Black Panther being the herald of Bast. Which god or legendary figure do they become the champion of.

Though as a caveat, it can't be a god that only exists in Marvel like the Living Tribunal, Galactus, or the Celestials. It has to be one that is also part of real world mythology/legend. And though it's not a caveat, I would prefer it's not a god that already has a herald like the abovementioned egyptian duo with theirs. We've seen a Spider-man powered by Khonshu in Arachknight and so on.

Edit: Not sure why the Arthurian image appeared twice. One of the two was supposed to be the Japanese Pantheon rather than two images of Arthurian legend.

What are they like in your Universe: Part 21

Spot the Stan Lee cameo

Stan Lee. The man, the myth, the legend. Appearing in so many different mediums fulfilling so many different roles ranging from random background vendor to a prominent role in the foreground. But in each of our universes, he can only cameo in so many places.

So what role does the Stan Lee cameo fulfill in your sona's universe. Or I guess the better question would be who in your sona's universe looks like Stan Lee.

(Mini-Event) and (SDC) WHAT IF and Winter Wear

For the WHAT IF, I decided to make 3 individual scenarios:

  • What If... Strider was a Street Fighter Character: A relatively young fighter from northern Mexico who grew up watching wrestlers of all varieties and wanted to take part in the sport as well. Despite initially not looking like much due to his scrawny build, Diego is actually immensely gifted in acrobatics and athleticism. At some point, he decided to give himself a Spider theme and go by the stage name Huntsman Spider and went on to pursue a career in combat.
    • He would be found by a former wreslter known as Jono "Orchid Mantis" Douglas who would assemble a team of animal themed wreslters as a counterpart to Japan's Iwashigahama team. Among these wreslters would be Daimon "Fire Ant" Wellstorm, Ken "Yellowjacket" Kaito, Mako "Dragonfly" Lynch, Michale "Atlas Moth" Schultz, Joseph "Rhino Beetle" Willard, Ulysses "Cricket" Archer, and Darcy "Scorpio" LeHaut.
    • In the midst of this school rivalry he would form a friendship with one of said rival school's students: Rainbow Mika. And while they keep their friendship on the downlow from their respective schools, Diego would sometimes tag along and get involved in the exploits of the wider world. Like helping fight alongside Mika and her hero Zangief in the war against Shadaloo.
    • Though when not fighting for the fate of the world, they still have a competitive streak as both aim to be the best. Even if it's gotten to the point where even their respective mentors just want them to admit they like each other.
  • What If... Strider was from Earth 65-C: A version of Earth 65 that is similar in many ways to its temporal source but different in a few key ways. One of which is how in this universe, Diego exists and is kidnapped as a young adult. Through expiriments funded by the Kingpin, he was forcibly augmented through genetic tampering and a suit of power armor permanently bonded to his skin. Through this he would become the villain Spider-Woman couldn't catch: Speed Demon
    • During this villainous streak, he would be sent to deal with Sue and Johnny Storm as they had cheated Kingpin out of a deal and he wanted it back in blood. But rather than rushing in and getting framed as a killer, he convinced his bosses to allow him leeway in slowly breaking them. One thing leads to another they're trying to hit something no one can see and it looks like they're trying to kill civilians. In comes this new hero who takes them out without breaking a sweat.
    • But his villainous streak was not long as Spider-Woman would find the lab where he was made into Speed Demon and totalled it, freeing him from their subconcious commands and the surveilance. When she encountered the newly freed Speed Demon, she asked what his game was. At which point he said that he can't really remember what his life goal was before the expiriments. But if she needed someone in her corner as the world kept being against her, she should seek him out. In that regard, he became an uneasy but reliable ally for her.
  • What If... Strider had the powers of one of his villains instead: Rather than being made into a spider-powered mutate, this version of Diego was turned into an artificial vampire given the codename B-Negative. But in this new state, he proceeded to feast on the scientists to satiate his newfound hunger. And with all of the abilities granted to him, there was no way to stop him once he started. Once he'd come to his senses after satisfying his hunger, he went to find fellow lab rat Black Cat who tried to kill him out of fear of what he was planning. Deeply hurt by this, he sprouted wings and flew away, leaving her alone in the lab.
    • Over the years, he would wander across the country, learning what he could from libraries and feasting on criminals, before ending up in the American south where he would see an advertisement for a team of teenage heroes calling themselves A-Force and decided to apply. While the founding members, Wallflower and Marrow, weren't 100% onboard with having a vampire on the team, he promised to only feed on the real scum of the earth or animals (though he personally didn't see a difference).
    • They agreed to let him stay and he became a founding member of A-Force. Though because of what he was, he'd have some rough encounters with Blade and Elsa Bloodstone as they wanted to make sure he wasn't one of the bad ones. And there was also Black Cat searching for him to make up for the attempt on his life. So life wasn't all bloodshine and rainbows

And there's also regular Strider's winter wear. Not much to say about it since it's just there to help keep him warm in the cold winter months

Hero Teams of the World

616 Marvel has many a team to protect the different parts of the world.

  • America has the Avengers and SHIELD
  • The UK has Excalibur
  • Russia has the Winter Guard
  • Canada has Alpha Flight
  • China has the People's Defense Force
  • Japan has Big Hero 6
  • South Korea has Tiger Division
  • Mainland Europe has had Euroforce, the Super Heroes of Europe (SHE), and Champions of Europe
  • Africa is usually overseen to a degree by the Agents of Wakanda

In your sona's universe, what teams of those listed above exist and what teams are entirely original to said universe?

What are they like in your universe: Part 20

Midway through the week and it's time for a new assortment. This batch includes: Jane Foster, Groot, Fred/Fredzilla (BH6 (The 3rd image is Movie Fred, the 4th is comics Fred), Darkhawk, Valeria Richards, Death's Head, and The Hood

Your Sona's universe (or a variant of it) in Marvel vs Capcom

Say a variant of your sona's universe were to connect to the Capcom multiverse for whatever reason (Could be the Beyonder getting bored. Could be the Infinity stones distorting reality. Could be because the 4th wall breakers destroyed the 4th wall.) All that matters is that now your sona and those in their universe are face to face with Capcom's many franchises.

  • You have the characters from all of Capcom's franchises (not limited by roster space). And while we generally know how they get along with the 616 variants of characters
    • Ryu and Cyclops are chill
    • Deadpool and Dante love to spar
    • Morrigan is into Peter
  • Thing is, your versions are not the same versions so character dynamics are going to be different. (especially with your sona in place of Peter with that last one)

The question is how different. Which characters are friends, which are rivals, which are enemies, and which ones are into each other?

For those who need a list of Capcom's many franchises: Street Fighter, Megaman, Darkstalkers, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, Dead Rising, Ghosts n Goblins, Viewetful Joe, Bionic Commando, Okami, DMC, Monster Hunter, Dino Crisis, Dragon's Dogma, Onimusha, Rival Schools, Breath of Fire, Final Fight, Strider, and Power Stone

What would the name be for this Amalgam

Previously I asked what the name would be for an Amalgam based on Superman and those that are inspired by him (Shazam, Hyperion, etc). This time it's for those who are similar to, inspired by, or just are Batman.

Batman, Green Arrow, Midnighter, Daredevil, Darkhawk, Moon Knight, Confessor, Darkwing, Knuckleduster, Blue Falcon, Catman (Fairly Oddparents), etc.

u/Azure_ryuga — 12 days ago

Ant-Man and Wasp

It's no secret that there is a lot of complicated history surrounding Hank and Janet (improved or made worse in other universes depending on the universe). So I figured I'd ask what exactly their history (or the history of their equivalents), is like in your universes

My Ben 10 Rewrite: The 10k era (SStorm111)

  • In this future, Ben has integrated the omnitrix into his biology which allows him to transform inidividual parts of his body. Though these partial transformations are not as strong as the full forms and not all forms can be used (Can't exactly make his arm pyronite without suffering excessive burns to the area around the arm). He mostly uses this partial transformation to use the legs of different forms so he can walk again.
  • Kevin has fully embraced his Osmosian heritage and currently leads his own team of Rooters (Servantis' team was only one of many Rooters squadrons and Kevin was never part of it, nor were the rest of the Amalgam kids). While he's not completely evil like his OS counterpart, he can sometimes take in too much energy or too many genetic samples at once which then requires Ben or Gwen to help him regain control of himself.
  • Speaking of whom, Gwen has become a professor at Friedkin, helping to mentor a new generation of magic users that continually grows larger as knowledge of magic becomes more well known across Earth. And while she has mostly retired the Lucky Girl persona, preferring to leave the heroism and spotlight to Ben, she is not afraid to dig out her old mask and join Ben and Rook when the world needs protecting. One such time unfortunately coincided with her and Kevin's wedding, which led to her going absolutely ballistic on Animo and his mutant animals.
  • Hope, having long since mellowed out and buried the hatchet with the Alien Force, spends her days trying to restore her realm to its former glory and lead it justly like her father did before Addwaitya killed him. With much of the realm still rebuilding, it's a job that keeps her quite occupied. But clearly not too occupied as she has gotten married at some point after the events of OV. Though not even Gwen has met her husband in person, so it's unknown to the Alien Force who exactly it is.

[MINI-EVENT] and (SDC) Amalgam and Isekai Strider.

Amalgam

  • Diego Dawson + Wallace "Wally" West = Diego West/Strider-Rush
  • Lucia Lynchpin + Karen Starr = Lucia Starr/Gammazon
  • Ashleigh Suzaku + Beatriz da Costa = Ashleigh da Costa/Flare Cat
  • Sonja the She-Devil + Donna Troy =Sonja Troy/ Sonja of the Savage Land/Troja
  • Richard "Dick" Grayson + Angel Rivera = Richard "Dick" Rivera/ Night Tiger

Isekai

In the middle of Central Park in San Destro, a gate opened up to a new world. After lots of peace talks and negotiations, it was agreed that students from schools on both sides would end up in a student exchange program. Alongside Strider, those who would be getting sent to the fantasy world were were Sybla Savlinova (daughter of the current Silver Sable) and Drake Komo (the mutant known as Reptil).

Strider would end up placed in a class with those who seemed familiar to a degree. Like Xante Twyla who definitely had a resemblance to the Wolverine family (even if he'd never heard of a daughter of Wolverine). Her malicious uncle Viatorr bearing a strong resemblance to Sabertooth. Another seemingly familiar face was Makoto Thyme with a strong resemblance to Squirrel Girl. And the teacher, a sapient Macaque named Professor Rowens had a resemblance to the bounty hunter Hit-Monkey.

Though alongside these allies would come enemies. A rhinocerous man named Rhyland Hirley became his biggest problem in the academy he was attending, being the big bully on campus. Meanwhile the organization AIM had made a MODOK clone and sent it to that world to take it over and study as much about it as possible. So even when a whole other universe away from home, he'd have to suit up as Strider-Spider and become a hero to his new locale.

What are they like in your Universe: Part 18

Today's batch is entirely randomly selected. The batch: Dazzler, Blue Marvel, Peepers, Blob, B-Negative, Blindfold, and Husk.

Unlike the rest of that cancelled New Warriors line, B-Negative actually appeared in a comic (Blade: Darkhold), so he gets to be included.

Klyntar Unleashed.

A simple question. What are the klyntar like in your sona's world? What are their names, who are their hosts, and where do they fall on the moral spectrum of heroic defender to lethal protector to mass killer.

What if the Ben 10 universe had Mineral from other franchises

A fun thought that occured to me, what if fictional chemicals, elements, minerals and the like exist in the Ben 10 universe. But since there's nobody who knows how to properly use them the way they would be in their main universes, they just kinda exist undocumented. Or at least, lack the same level of documentation.

  • Kryptonite
  • Nth Metal
  • Uru
  • Vibranium
  • Z-Crystals
  • Australium
  • Energon

Going for a more obscure batch this time. Have fun with them. The characters for this batch: Morgan Red, Prodigy, Anole, Cerebella, Jumbo Carnation, Demolition Man, and Feint/Gimmick

Does your Spider-sona like capybaras?

A simple question. Strider for one absolutely loves capybaras and wishes he could own one as a pet. But unfortunately anywhere outside of the San Destro zoo is not built for capy kind. So he has to settle for watching them play at the zoo.
