What Android Boxes are still usable?
With Amazon locking down their OS now, and SmartTVs never really being reliable; Are there any Android boxes that are still reliable with Stremio?
I’d rather not get an NVIDIA Shield just due to price.
Any changes y’all would recommend?
Curious if there are any replacements anyone would make from the new set.
Introducing The Inkspire! An unofficial Lorcana web app now looking for beta testers
Hey, Illumineers!
I’ve been working on a fan made web app called The Inkspire for about 7-8 months now, and with the new set releasing tomorrow I am now ready to begin sharing it with the Lorcana community.
The goal is to create an all in one online space where Lorcana collectors and players buy packs with virtual currency, manage their virtual collection, build decks, explore the game, and play against other people.
The Play Simulator is an ongoing port of the open-source code provided by TheCardGoat. It is the same engine used for Lorcanito, and a port of the Svelte UI.
This is an early community beta, not a finished product. Some features are incomplete, bugs are expected, and parts of the interface or underlying systems may change as development continues.
That is also why I’m opening it to the community now. With the state of the game/prices being higher than I am personally used to, I need real collectors and players to help try out the web app and identify:
- Broken pages or unexpected errors
- Confusing navigation or workflows
- Incorrect or missing card information
- Problems on different browsers, devices, or screen sizes
- Features that would make the app more useful
- Parts of the experience that feel especially good, or especially frustrating
You can try the beta here:
When reporting a problem, it helps to include what you were doing, what you expected to happen, what happened instead, and which browser or device you were using.
The Inkspire is an independent, unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney or Ravensburger.
Thank you to anyone willing to explore it, test it, break it, and help shape what it becomes. I’m excited to finally let Illumineers check it out!
One of the LGS near me is starting preorders over retail…
This is crazy. This LGS plus several others are STARTING preorders and retail at the market price, if not more. I am new to TCGs so I could just be tone deaf to the “norm” but how is it even allowed that a product which doesn’t “technically” exist yet could be sold by a store over its MSRP?
Unfortunate that I probably will not be able to afford any of the set.
The Full Art of the Scar - Created by the Vine Enchanted
I know there has been a lot of talk on this card. Seems to be a love/hate kinda art. I for one love the style but 100% can see what people don’t like about it.
I also love Ton Whalen’s art in general so overall I am biased.
Just a couple of decks I’ve been brainstorming
Lemme know what yall think!
Ink Drain - What is everyone’s thoughts on this format I thought of?
I’ve been trying to brainstorm this format, or I guess more of a casual game mode. I call it Ink Drain, and the biggest change is that you start with 10 ink in your inkwell, and each turn you take one away until you’re left with 3.
Set up would be mostly the same:
Shuffle your deck
Draw 7 cards
During the mulligan phase, you would choose any number of cards from your hand to mulligan, but instead of them going back into your deck, you would place them into your inkwell face down
Draw cards until you have 7 cards in hand
Then, add cards from the top of your deck to your inkwell face down until your inkwell has exactly 10 cards
Each player’s turn uses this structure:
Ready
Drain
Set
Draw
Main Phase
End of Turn
During the Drain Step, remove 1 card from your inkwell from the game face down.
A player would not drain on their first turn and a does not drain if they have 3 or fewer cards in their inkwell. If a card effect says a player may put an additional card into their inkwell, that effect works normally. Cards added by effects may be inkable or uninkable unless the effect specifically requires an inkable card.
I feel like this could be chaotic, and would allow players to be able to use late game cards earlier, and more often. It’s obviously more of a fun format, but I’m curious what everyone thinks, and if there’s a game breaking mechanic that I am forgetting about lol
Where do y’all buy sealed cases?
Apologies if this has been asked already, I attempted to find it but nothing that I could locate.
Where do I buy a full sealed case? I want to start buying two cases a set, but can’t find solid information on where to buy them. With the amount of money they cost I want to be sure I am not getting scammed lol
Not an error, a feature!
So I pulled this uncommon foil of the “Merryweather - Fiesty Fairy” card which had this misalignment which I just assumed was an error. As I was adding the pull to my Lorcana App, I noticed the digital asset for the foil on the app has the same print!
Pretty hilarious tbh
