I filmed the California State Fair in 8K 3D VR180 on the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive

I recently filmed the California State Fair with the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive as part of my shift toward producing more cinematic VR180 content.

The piece was captured in stereoscopic 8K 3D VR180, and the goal was to make the viewer feel physically present at the fair rather than simply watch a traditional event recap.

Since this community is specifically focused on VR180 filmmaking, I’d really appreciate feedback on the things that matter most in-headset:

  • Does the camera height feel natural?
  • How does the subject distance feel?
  • Does the scale of the environment translate well?
  • Are there any shots that feel especially immersive or uncomfortable?
  • Would you have placed the camera differently in any of these scenes?

I’m still refining how I approach composition and storytelling specifically for VR180, so feedback from other filmmakers and experienced viewers would be very useful.

I’m planning to continue experimenting with travel, events, fashion, sports, and documentary-style VR180, so I’m looking forward to learning from this community.

I filmed the California State Fair in 8K 3D VR180 on the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive

I recently filmed the California State Fair using the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive and wanted to share the experience with other Vision Pro users.

This was captured in stereoscopic 8K 3D VR180, so instead of watching the fair from the outside, the goal was to make it feel like you're actually standing there — seeing the scale, people, rides, and environment around you.

This is one of my first immersive projects as I build out BARE Immersive, so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from people watching specifically on Apple Vision Pro.

I'm especially curious about:

  • Does the camera height/distance feel natural?
  • How does the sense of scale feel?
  • Are there any moments that are particularly strong or uncomfortable in VR?
  • What kinds of real-world experiences would you want to see filmed this way?

Best experienced directly in Apple Vision Pro with headphones.

I'm planning to keep experimenting with immersive travel, events, fashion, sports, and documentary-style experiences, so feedback from actual headset users is extremely useful.
