Help with spare tire

Help with spare tire

Just bought my dude a new Sentra. Not too happy as I was unaware that it did not come with a spare tire. Only the fix a flat kit. Which sometimes does you no good depending on the type or tire damage done. Anybody know of an aftermarket spare tire kit that fits a 2026? If not, even anyone who knows where to get a steel wheel that fits the car and I can get a tire put on it. Thanks! I think it is a SV. It’s pretty well equipped and I’m impressed with the features like the heated seats and steering wheels along with a sunroof. I wanted it in white but my husband wanted black. Looks great clean but hard to keep it that way!!!

Oil changes

Not new to a Jetta. But new to a GLI. I never follow a manufacturers recommendation of oil changes every year or 10,000 miles. I always do it six months or 5000-6000 miles. And just the few months I’ve had this car. I keep seeing people say do your first oil change on a GLI at 1500 miles then again at 5k and every 5k after that for the remainder. I just hit 1700 miles and what is the rationale or the benefit of changing it this early then again at 5000 miles? Do I really need to do this now? Thanks in advance.

Spare tire subwoofer

Recently got a new 26 GLI. Build date March of 2026. And the spare tire mounted sub is………..comically disappointing. I heard earlier build dates of the 2026 and also the 24 and 25s have a better or bigger sub. And it was a Fender or Beats system maybe I had read. But I was wondering if those subs from the better audio systems are still the spare tire style and if I purchased a new one from VW or found a used one, would it be plug and play? Or are the connections different plus would it need a different amp? I am in no way educated in sound systems but I’d like more bass than what I have in the easiest way possible. Thanks in advance!!!

Gli coolant level

Is this a proper amount of coolant brand new from dealer ? I know it’s in normal range but my 2020 Jetta ended up having a water pump leak and so they fixed all that and when I got the car back, the coolant was filled to the very, very top. So I’m like how much really needs to be in there lol

I know this topic has been worn out. And I've been searching all the forums and consensus seems to be there really is no fix for this. I bought a brand new Jetta R line in 2020. The SOS system always gave errors when I would activate the safe and secure package. It would give error message on screen and the big ugly yellow triangle you can't get to go away. But it still let you make emergency calls and I assume if you crashed it would notify their safety team. But the roadside assistance and info buttons would not connect. Only the SOS button would connect you to someone. Which was fine cause as far as I know the most important part still worked which was crash notification. After 6 years of it they kept saying it was a faulty part and they were back ordered. I’d call once a year and they said still no fix. So I just gave up. WELL. I just bought a brand new 2026 GLI. And I got everything setup. And it's doing the exact same thing after I setup the carnet. So has anyone heard of or worked out a fix? I assumed from 2020-2026 this would not be an issue anymore. Anyway thanks in advance and for letting me vent about it. 🤣🤣
