Maple Leafs Tease “Remix Nights” 👀

According to this post from the Maple Leafs announcing some of their promotional nights, they announced “Remix Nights,” followed by another page about their St Pats jerseys. I believe this is the first time a team has come forward with the “remix” concept, calling it an opportunity to “go back in time with a twist.”

Superstar: Vintage vs 82

Hey everyone, how goes it? I’m a longtime superstar fan and I’m looking into my next pair. I was debating the new Superstar Vintage vs the 82’s from 2024. I have never owned a pair of leather-lined superstars. Are they comfy for all day wear? If you have both, do you prefer one over the other? Your feedback will help me decide which I go with!

The vintage is cooler looking but might be too low toppy for my style. What say you all?

I was also offered a pair of Run DMC superstars from 2020 that seem to be built in the 82 style.

Not notified of lease renewal, but I never sent message intending to vacate. What should I do?

Hello. I have a lease expiring on August 31. I have been here for two years and signed my current lease renewal last year after receiving it 60 days before the new term began. I planned to do the same this year, but have never received a notice from my landlord saying either that I must vacate, or with a renewal offer. I have not stated any intent to vacate. I would like to stay and renew.

I was looking at my previous lease and it says two things that seem a bit contradictory:

  1. This Lease shall automatically renew for an additional term of one (1) year at a rent rate determined by Landlord, unless Tenant gives Landlord at least 60 days’ prior written notice of Tenant’s intent to vacate as of the Lease End date. Such written notice by Tenant is only deemed sufficient if submitted through Landlord’s online Portal or via the Landlord email address provided in this Lease. Nothing in this clause shall be construed as permitting a month-to-month holdover without Landlord’s consent; Landlord reserves the right to treat any holdover as described in 2.
  2. If Tenant remains in possession of any part of the Premises after the Lease term expires (and without Landlord’s written consent to an extension or renewal), Landlord may, at its option, treat the holdover as a continuing tenancy or as an unlawful possession. In case of holdover without Landlord’s agreement, Landlord may choose to: (a) bring an action for possession (eviction), and if Tenant’s holdover is willful Landlord may also recover an amount equal to not more than two months’ rent or twice the actual damages sustained (whichever is greater) as provided by law; or (b) notify Tenant in writing that the holdover will be treated as a month-to-month tenancy subject to all the same terms and conditions of this Lease except that the rent shall be double the rent.

So is this saying the landlord won't let me go month to month after my current lease expiration without charging me double? Do I need to reach out about the renewal? I was thinking I would fly under the radar and would go month to month. But I am worried I will end up in legal trouble without paperwork from them, even though I believe they are on the hook for not sending a renewal offer on time. Please offer me any advice you can.

Grail Day!

What’s’ poppin’ hockey fans? Today this 2008 Winter Classic Reebok Premier Sidney Crosby jersey showed up at my house. It’s in great condition for an 18 year old kit! There’s mild fraying on the logo and a couple small nicks throughout. The numbers and lettering aren’t wrinkled or peeling. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

I watched the 2008 Winter Classic on my parents living room floor. Crosby’s shootout winning goal was like watching a beautiful movie! I’m happy to have this in my collection! If you swipe to the end you can see where it fits in my 87 collection.

Let’s Go Pens! Collection of Pittsburgh Penguins ‘47 Hitch Hats.

What’s poppin’ hockey fans? These are my two Pittsburgh Penguins ‘47 hats. The blue one is made of wool with a pleather brim and has a strapback plus green underbrim. It’s a classy lookin’ hockey hat 🐧🤵‍♀️🎩. The black one is my favorite hat I’ve ever owned. It’s a snapback and features the NHL 75th anniversary patch which was worn in 1992, the year the Penguins swept the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Final. These hats are both in the hitch style and it’s the most comfortable and relaxed five panel hat in the game. Let’s Go Pens! And may Sidney Crosby deliver another Stanley Cup to the Penguins!

On this day in history: Friday, June 12, 2009, the Pittsburgh Penguins won their third Stanley Cup by beating the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 in Game 7.

This was 17 years ago today. The first of three won by Sid, Geno, Flower, Kunitz and Tanger.

Just a gold pirate hat celebrating the best World Series team they ever had. Clemente, Stargell, Mazeroski, Blass, Manny Sanguillen, Dave Cash, José Pagán and Dock Ellis were all on the team that year.
