This Game has been around for ages, haven’t played in awhile but it looks like it has had some uodates and the details have increased a lot. So i dusted off the RP4P and built a clone of my TF3 build lol. Game is fun for a few hours of mindless bashing and crawling. Wish I could customize it to have no doors like the RC.
Can’t decide lol. I prefer the smaller BFGs to help save driveline but nothing beats getting over bigger rocks with these 1.7 Iroks.
Kind of rushed the assembly but the paint came out decent considering the humidity and constant rain weve had here. I’m happy tho and it’s The color I should’ve done years ago.
Primed and painted. Took some good sanding since it’s the 5th coat of paint lol. Also did the bed lip trick I did with the Hilux body. But the black bed liner kinda hides it so I may paint the inside of the bed yellow too.
I’m color blind so this paint looks the same color as my other trucks… do they really tho? lol
Inspired by n00b’s orange yota, it’s been years since I’ve done styrene work like this. TF3 base with some mods to make it more scale .
Removed the tube bumper and went with a More stock OEM look. The 4Runner tube bumper got caught up a lot More than I had liked. Added a BRX cross brace for the front and a scale factory looking tow hook. First time ever using one of those lower valance/lip pieces. Shaved it down to be more like the 2WD one. Back to the Smaller scale looking wheels/tires. Aaannnnnnd For my 4th coat of paint… I’m thinking something OEM Toyota metallic again… 🤦🏻♂️
Somebody accused me of being in love with Odyssey… just a tad…
Grew up poor and rode BMX in the early/mid 90s and wanted all their parts…. Being stupid with adult money is fun sometimes lol
Built this guy a few years ago, and of course I had to re-paint it red about 3 weeks before the RTR was announced so now it looks like the RTRs that are everywhere lol.
Nothing special, reversed shackles, Mix of Boom racing BRX01/02, bruiser and Sawback suspension, K44 axles, super scale shafts, 4Runner rear bumper (had to bob bed to fit) 4 runner sliders and front bumper with Winch. Fusion SE brushless. Scale hardware throughout with scale hubs and lugs. Bed and cab are hard mounted separately to be more scale, battery is mounted under hood. Transfer case was moved forward for scale-ness (shorter front shaft) rear shock’s upper mounts are outside the chassis rails to be more scale as well.
So about 8 months ago our stand up Frigidaire freezer was havjng issues with the interior light cutting in and out and the alarm going off (like the door was left open) for no reason with the door closed. Seemed like it was cooling fine too. Eventually the bulb stopped lighting altogether. Replaced the bulb and it didn’t help. Tested the bulb and the socket and everything was fine. Put the freezer into diagnostic mode and the bulb lit up and went back out so the wiring and system seem to be ok. So I basically just assumed it was without lighting now, no biggee. The freezer worked fine. Did some research and found it could be the lower door switch but couldn’t find a new one in stock anywhere and I kind of forgot about it.
Fast forward to about 3 days ago and the light is back on! Cool, right? Wrong. Now the freezer isn’t cooling anymore. Can’t hear the compressor, stuff is getting soft. But the freezer has an alarm for temp but it’s not going off or flashing like it would if the door was left open. Removed the inner panel and found some ice build up, but nothing ridiculous and it wasn’t frosted over and the fan turned fine. Checked connectors to make sure they were seated, turned temp control dial a bunch to make sure it was working. With the door open while working on it for like 5 mins the interior light turned off again, then back on. Then about a couple minutes later it turned off again and stayed off. So I put it all back together and closed the door and opened it and the light is back on and I can hear the compressor running. Then after about 5 mins now the alarm is going off and the freezer isn’t running again. Any ideas? Thanks guys.
FYI I’m not a roofer AT ALL (automotive tech so I’m not inept when it comes to some common sense about how things work though. I can be taught things lol). But please excuse my ignorance on any subject of roofs or gutters and design. lol.
The upper gutters (split level home) empty into the lower ones. Not ideal but works fine unless it’s a very heavy rain. Yesterday was a very heavy rain, so the lower gutters overflowed. Only seems to happen on the front and not the back. The upper gutter section is split between the front and back of the lower section, and the front always overflows. The back half upper section essentially empties almost directly into the downspout of the lower back section. But the front is different and empties right after this corner section (pics). Seems like the rushing of the water of the upper spout stops the flow of the lower gutters (front of house) reaching the downspout around this corner. During the rainfall I took off the lower elbow of the upper spout and seemed to help alleviate the issue but obviously isn’t ideal since it splashes all over the shingles and out of the gutters.
My question is Should I extend the upper spout elbow to be closer to the lower downspout? To help slow it down some? Or Directly to it? More of an angle to help the flow? Seems like a lot of velocity of the upper water pushes back the lower flow. I understand that bigger lower gutters probably would help as would a downspout added to the other side of the front but it only seems to be an issue with very heavy rains which we don’t get very often. And you know, 💰 doesn’t grown on 🌲 Thanks guys.
Someone was asking about more pics of the Street Gypsy so I may as well post a build sheet.
2017 Gypsy Bikes Street Gypsy. (No, NOT FBM!) Raw frame with black parts and Minor blue theme.
I haven’t heard of this bike company before finding this frame on eBay. Seller had a few trail versions and this street one. (He has a trail version for sale right now!) Very little info online. It was designed by Cory Walters, who rode for S&M. 2017 seems to be the only year made that I’ve seen although there’s info for a 2018?. Full Chromo, not tons of features, pretty standard Geo for a 2017 street frame. completely brakeless for the street version. Pretty thick dropouts and built in tensioners. They made a 100 total frames: 70 trail frames (35 in 20.75 and 35 in 21.25) and 30 street frames all in Raw. I have #68/100 (insert Boomer Corvette joke 😂)
Pics I’ve seen of the Trail frames show they rust pretty “good” (heavy) some people have powder coated theirs due to the rusting. Mine seems to have held up well, and to keep it that way, all my bikes are cleaned regularly and garage kept. It’s clear coated but the clear isn’t very durable so I’ve had to spot repair a few places. May do a good 2K Urethane clear over the winter though.
All Odyssey parts other than the KMC K1 chain (dont ask lol)
R32 Forks
49er Bars
Thunderbolt Cranks
Hazards with Clutch V2 and Vandero hubs
LaGuardia sprocket
Dugan Alloy pedals
Dugan tires
Dugan blue stem
Pro headset
Blue Bottom Bracket
Blue big stitch seat
Seat post
Travis grips
Yes even Tubes lol
Feels good, 13”ish back end so rather snappy. Longer than my Sweeper but shorter than my WiFi but not too short like my Fit Shortcut lol.
Love morning rides. Cooler temps, No traffic, and no kids on E-bikes. No people to ruin the vibe, just quiet spots and cruising.
Pic is of my Street Gypsy with full Odyssey parts list (minus the chain)
Wanted to build something like the old orange scaleHilux/Bruiser that “Pardonmyn00b” built years ago (final pic is of his)
Took my TF3, added some scale bits, BRX01/02 parts and modded the steering and rear leafs to be more scale accurate. Grabbed my saw and razor, made some cuts and added some styrene work which I haven’t done in a long time lol. Doors are held on with magnets, in case I wanna run them. Added some sticky weights, some interior work with fabrics and dash extensions, bed and cab are separately mounted like a real truck, battery will be mounted in the engine bay so the body is hard mounted with some hidden screws. Did some light rust/stain weathering. Scale faux shocks were custom made.
