Question: Which MOTHERSHIP Supplements and Modules Are The Best to Get?

Hello All,

So I wanted to ask those here that have more experience with MOTHERSHIP than myself, who just got the Deluxe Box a week ago, what other books, zines, and pamphlets you would recommend?

I know I want to get the RIMWARD CLASSES expansion, just because I love the idea of psychic powers in this system, but I was wondering what else others would get if they were just starting off with MOTHERSHIP?

Would you recommend getting HULL BREACH Vol. 1 and/or Wages of Sin? How about ORPAHNS and BLOOM?

Are there any others that you would definitely get/recommend?

EDIT: For a few more details I'm gonna be running MOTHERSHIP for 3 groups of 3 to 6 players each. One group will probably want a more campaign-like, longer running experience, so I am looking for all types of modules and game styles.

Also, I'm looking for both "Official" releases as well as 3rd party. I will be getting some of the trifold adventures in the future as well, so feel free to recommend any of those.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Question About MOTHERSHIP Character Cards

Howdy All,

So I'm very new to MOTHERSHIP, having only played it once last week, which was fantastic, and I went out the next day and bought the Deluxe Edition. I've been playing RPG's for 40+ years now and only a few have drawn me in like MOTHERSHIP has.

I am completely enthralled with this system and I want to get anything and everything published for it that I can. While watching a recent review video for the newly released "Wages of Sin" book, the reviewer had received an Add-Ons bag with his copy. In this bag were a few packs of MOTHERSHIP Character Cards numbered 01 thru 04.

I know these card packs were probably part of the Add-Ons for the KS/BackerKit Wages of Sin promotion, but I am wondering if there is any other way to get ahold of these card packs? Does anyone know if these will be put on sale on their own? The only MOTHERSHIP related cards that I have been able to find are a specific 50+ card set from Space Penguin Ink, but these don't appear to be the same cards that were sent with Wages of Sin. If anyone has any idea of where someone could get these packs, or if they will ever be put on sale separate from a Kickstarter, please let me know.

Howdy all,

I'm trying to get back into Traveller after......gods, WAY to long, and besides the fact that I'm lost as to exactly which edition I'm on, and which Ed. I last played on (I last played a one off in the mid '90's, it was the GURPS era I believe, but maybe MEGA, I don't remember).

Anyways, I played old GDW Traveller for about 6 years, along with D&D/AD&D, till Shadowrun and Warhammer 40K took over everyone's lives for a few years. While I still play all those games, plus some new ones, I amazingly found many of my old Traveller books in storage for almost 30 years. This has made me want to try and get a group together and play this awesome setting, but I'm also wondering a few things. I know that Mongoose is the publisher for Traveller now, and has been for awhile. I think this is the 2nd Ed from Mongoose and, thanks to a Bundle of Holding last December, I have the 2022 rulebook and a few others that came with it.

So here's what I'm wondering about, first off, what's the best way to get caught up on the last 30 years of lore and how it connects to Mongoose Traveller 2e? Is the an online site that does a good job of giving an overview of changes from the GDW lore to the GURPS/MEGA lore, to whoever else, to Mongoose 1e to Mongoose 2e? Or is it pretty much a search and find it as best you can type of deal?

Second, are these new Bundle of Holding Traveller bundles worth it? If so which ones do you recommend getting first? I know there is one more coming later today, Friday 05/01/2926, but of the ones that are out now, the "Update" core rules bundle, the Imperial Navy bundle, the Merc bundle, the Great Rift bundle, and the 12 issues of a magazine(?) bundle, which are really worth getting? As I said, I have the 2022 rulebook, a few adventures, and maybe a couple of sourcebooks from 2e already, but I don't have any of the books in these bundles other than the 2022 rulebook.

Thank you to anyone who read this and takes the time to give me some opinions and advice, I truly appreciate it.
