Ty for helping me 🖤

Hi comrades, me again. I’m going to keep this short because my head hurts (🤪). Thank you so fucking much to everyone who commented on my post about GLP1. I sincerely appreciated everything you all said and your perspectives were invaluable to me. I love this sub so much. Seriously, the framing around seeing it as a means of symptomatic relief instead of weight loss was really helpful to me.

I decided to let er fuckin rip and see what happens. My first dose is later today. Baby, I’m ready to feel better!!! We’ll see what happens - wish me luck! 🍀

GLP1, fear, and shame

Hey, what’s up comrades? I saw my NO today and she brought up the possibility of starting a GLP1 and she obviously discussed all the health benefits and reasons she would like me to consider it. I trust her, what she was saying made sense to me, and generally I agree that the benefits are there. However….. as a person with a history of disordered eating, trauma, blah blah blah…. It scared me a lot. It brought up a ton of shame. I cried a bunch with my doctor and now as I’m writing this. Idk… just looking for some support I guess. I’m emotionally spinning out a little bit. Can anyone relate?

My head hurts 😭

(P.S. I do have a great therapist I will be discussing this with but I don’t see her until Monday)

My personal favorite local tree, I call her ‘Grandmother’

She's absolutely fucking huge. Those are standard size US trash bins at the base. Zone 5a in Minnesota, USA. A poplar I think. I hope you all enjoy 😄

What should I plant?

Hello fellow enthusiasts. What kind of tree should I plant in my yard? Factors at play:

- Minnesota, zone 5a
- suburban setting
- sandy soil
- western side of my lot, front yard
- I would prefer not to have to rake up a bunch of seeds each spring
- native please :)

Pic of the top of my mature silver maple for attention. Thank you for your help c0mrades 🫡
