Help understanding Power Apps per app license

I am after some help/guidance around Power Apps per app licensing that is available through CSPs.

I currently building a Power App that will require all staff to be able to access to complete their annual review. The idea will be that it will send the employee and email informing them of their upcoming annual review along with a link to complete their self assessment which will be built into the Power App.

I would like to take advantage of some of the Power Automate premium features which the Power App will trigger but licensing every user in our organisation for Power Automate premium is too expensive so I was looking into licensing the Power App using per app licensing.

What I am having a little trouble understanding is how many per app licenses I need to buy. Do I just need a single license for my Power App and I am good to go? or do I need to buy a license for every single user that will use this Power App?

I think I need to buy one license per user who uses the Power App and that Microsoft refers to this as multiplexing. I did come across the Microsoft multiplexing overview guide but that seems more focused on Dynamics (which we don't use) and Dataverse which I don't think we use either as I only read and write to SharePoint lists so I am not sure if that is applicable to my situation.

An interesting read but also baffling as to why AMD would remove a working feature from their CPUs or not be more open about it it was a bug/regression that was disabling the feature.

This seems like good news for competition. It would be nice to see some upwards trends from Intel and AMD on the GPU side of things to help challenge Nvidia's dominance.

Not receiving RTCP for most external calls

I am sure that most of us have dealt with a complaint about call quality and have gone to the call quality monitor to try and see what maybe causing the issue.

When I enable this for any of our extensions (most staff are using the 3CX app either on Android or iOS) and monitor calls between our extensions I get the full breakdown of the call quality.

However, I have noticed that when sending or receiving calls externally (to mobile phones and landlines) that that overwhelming majority of the time the 3CX call report gives a message

>No RTCP from <externalNumber> (audio from PBX can't get through?).

I have run the 3CX firewall checker and that reports all clear. I have double checked the firewall on the VPS to ensure that ports are open matching the 3CX firewall guide. I have run packet captures on the VPS (this is the official 3CX Linux ISO) and with the help of Claude can see that we do get RTCP packets in but only on rare occasions and mainly from our staff using the 3CX app.

I have reached out to the VPS host and they have tested their network and report nothing blocking RTCP to and from their network and our VPS and I have also reached out to our SIP provider and they report that they pass on RTCP.

The SIP provider did say that RTCP may not be present on all calls and that the external numbers may simply not be sending RTCP packets. Is this true? Should I really be expecting most calls to not send RTCP?

My desire around getting RTCP is just to provide additional information to help troubleshooting any reported call quality issues. I am pretty sure that any issues are due to our staff being on mobile devices using the 3CX app and the nature of mobile phone reception and data transfer and that their is nothing I can do other than tell staff to ensure that they are in a high single area when using 3CX.

Good news, another nail in the Adobe coffin. Firefox 151 helps you edit PDFs

Saw this and as a very long time Firefox user had to give it a try. For super basic PDF editing there is even less reason to use Adobe Acrobat and I imagine that Chromium will have a similar feature soon.

Good news update around DCS suing reviewers

Way back in July 2024 WAN covered DCS suing reviewers. Stefan Fischer from AllOffroad 4x4 won the court cases and after years of DCS dragging their feet and finally DCS being threaten to be forcible shut-down and liquidated to pay the court costs they have paid the court costs that were awarded to Stefan Fischer.
