Will the flights be canceled? Or should I cancel it myself?

Hi guys, I’m so sorry for bringing this topic. My flight Is tomorrow and it DOES look to be scheduled on time.

But today’s situation is worrying me. 1. Whether it’s safe to travel and 2. Whether emirates will cancel the flight or something happens …

I’m transiting via DXB.

Should I reschedule or cancel all together?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Duty free liquor allowance (DXB-MAA)

Hi I have always brought in one or two bottles of spirits and that was fine.

I’m now planning to bring 3 bottles (x2 whiskey and x1 absinthe 69 abv 70cl)

I’m seeing mixed info, that due to the combined alcohol % its either not allowed or I have to pay tax on it…

Is there any loophole or way to bring in the second bottle of whiskey ? Has anyone managed to bring more than 2 alcohol bottles?

Finally quitting this game

I know for sure I had 96 old cards. Didn’t get a chance to turn it.

Now it shows 0.

I’m done.

Rose lane car park Ipswich

These thieves send parking fine even if you have a ticket.

I went to make a review on maps but it shows this place as permanently closed (people one year before have said the same thing).

So this fraudulent company has declared on maps permanently closed to avoid bad reviews but still operational and still continuing day light robbery.

Tried the 2 most recommended products, still struggling

28F. I’ve had really bad dandruff since 13, I once had to shave all of my hair and restart. A doctor recommended me Yaher which worked wonders for me, had to shower everyday with it.

But since moving to UK it’s no longer working. Then I tried T gel, worked for a little bit but stopped when I moved to an area with very hard water (renting so can’t really do anything to the plumbing side).

So finally I’m using nizoral. I’m still feeling itchy and flaky even after the shower.

Do I go back to washing my hair everyday?

I’m super conscious now and embarrassed of how my hair looks, worrying people might think I’m unhygienic.

I have really long hair, should I chop it off?

UK job applications and AI usage

Hi, I haven’t heavily relied on AI for my job apps, maybe for a single paragraph or two but I’ve heard some people use AI for their entire application and still get interview calls.

I want to know if you do this, how do you manage during the interview stage?

And if there are people here who sit in the panel, what is your opinion about this?

Parking dispute

Our flat’s rent included parking permit which the landlord/letting agent failed to provide when we moved in so we paid for public parking for the first 3 weeks until we requested the permits from the council. The letting agent said they forgot to get the permit from the previous tenant before they left so it’s their fault.

I’ve spent a lot of money in parking so I’ve asked them to reimburse this by deducting on the rent.

I’ve chased them through emails and calls.

There’s been no response except one email saying not to reduce the rent amount .

The issue has been unresolved for 2 + months now

Should I make an ombudsman complaint?

Is it better to book economy then upgrade or book Business straight away

I’ve given up the idea of one day stop over, just for the sake of free stay I don’t think it’s worth it and maybe not the best time to see Dubai.

I’m going to treat myself to business class instead, I’ll get lounge access anyway so closest to a luxury hotel.

I’m trying to book business just one way but it’s not letting me.

Is it better to book economy throughout and then upgrade to business one way?

Thank you

Emirates stopover

I’ve called and confirmed what I need to know about getting the complimentary stay offer.

Here’s where I’m stuck

  1. Is it really worth it? (I’m ending up paying a lot more on the multi city booking to be able to use this)

  2. I have 13 days to cover my entire trip so I’m only going to spend 1-2 days in Dubai so again, is it feasible as Dubai is a huge place.

  3. This trip is after my birthday so I’m deciding whether to treat myself to business class and skip the stop over OR use the stop over and travel economy

TL;DR

Is it worth opting for emirates Marriott stay offer only to spend 1 day in Dubai and checking out and getting on my flight the next day?

How to use this offer?

Nothing happened when I clicked this message

I then filled out the rest of the booking (didn’t go till payment) but couldn’t get this offer after that. Any idea how to?

Is Juhi copying from potato face

I get that most influencers just go with the trend which is essentially copying someone else. But wondering whether Juhi the girl next door had copied her entire personality from thatpotatoface or rida tharanaa ..

She’s doing all the eye makeup stuff that potato face used to do

Now that potato face is going on runs and 10Ks she is also going on surfing spree!

Ngl. Not a hate post however people don’t take criticism too well so might be perceived as hate post

At 27, still possible to FIRE plan at 38k income?

I religiously saved money on cash ISA last year. Never explored S&S yet as I’m seeing mixed reviews and some say just start with trading 212 so might do that.

Got my emergency fund sorted.

I’m just worried whether with my income I can’t afford to save to FIRE. constantly thinking and stressing about upskilling and moving to a higher paying job.

Have you guys used this book? Is it a good reference for initial assessments? I’m not in MSK setting but I do have to adapt different initials for my patient group

Dhanush family controversy

Do you guys remember this “real” family fiasco? What even is that? How can some one claim they are the parents, give some evidence and then lose the case. What even was that?
