Dune 3 or Sylenth 1 for Hardstyle?

I'm thinking about picking up either DUNE 3 or Sylenth1, but I can't decide.

My main goal is making really thick Hardstyle leads. From what I know, Sylenth1 has been the go-to synth for Hardstyle for years, and there are tons of preset banks available. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of people saying that DUNE 3 is actually the better synth overall.

I also want to produce a lot of uplifting trance, especially big atmospheric pads and lush sounds, so versatility is important too.

If you had to choose only one, which would you go for and why? Is Sylenth1 still worth buying in 2026, or is DUNE 3 the better investment? I'd love to hear from people who have used both.

FL Studio desperately needs a proper Freeze Track / Freeze Instrument feature

One thing I still don't understand is why FL Studio doesn't have a proper freeze function like Logic Pro or Cubase.

Yes, we can use Consolidate Track, but it's not the same thing. Consolidating often disrupts gain staging and workflow, and afterwards you have to manually manage a lot of things that a real freeze function would handle automatically.

What I would love to see in FL Studio 26 is:

  • A Freeze Instrument option directly in the Channel Rack.
  • Since the Channel Rack is already organized linearly, freezing a channel there would make perfect sense.
  • Ideally, the option to freeze Pre-Fader or Post-Fader, similar to Logic Pro and Cubase.
  • If Channel Rack freezing isn't possible, then at least a proper Track Freeze in Mixer Track Mode.

For visual feedback, frozen instruments and mixer channels could simply be colored blue (or another dedicated color), making it instantly obvious what's currently frozen.

The workflow could be:

  1. Right-click channel or mixer track.
  2. Select Freeze (Pre-Fader) or Freeze (Post-Fader).
  3. FL Studio renders the audio in the background.
  4. Plugins are automatically disabled to save CPU.
  5. One click to unfreeze and continue editing.

This is such a standard workflow in DAWs like Logic and Cubase, and it would massively improve project performance and usability in larger FL Studio projects.

For me, this would genuinely be a core feature and one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements that could be added to FL Studio 26.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I really love these kind of kicks because they are so so strong in my opinnion.
How do you call these kicks? How can you make these like in the examples. The sound design behind Punch and Tail?

Here are the examples:
R.A.V.E (Where I want to be) [2:23]
Lose my Mind - Sub Zero Project Remix (1:24)
