My first oops in purchasing

I’m extremely new here. I’ve longed to start a collection since 2014, started selling my American girl dolls on eBay, and thought, you know what? This’ll fund the Minster High Dolls I’ve always wanted! I bought from what looked like a good source on eBay. Paid like $60 with tax and shipping for what was advertised as an original 2012 Venus McFlytrap. I left to get a coffee with a friend this morning, came home to see the package… in a plastic slip bag instead of a box. Red flag already. I grab it, it’s wrapped in something but not even bubble wrap. I know it’s going to be bad. I see the seller’s name on a sticker with an accompanying bible verse. Uh oh. Now I know it’ll be worse than I thought. I go to open it up… She’s a creeproduction and the box is all banged up lmfaooooo. On the bright side I messaged the seller and they gave me a 100% refund within like five minutes. Might go towards my G1 Lagoona fund 🤷‍♀️ I still love her and plan on keeping her! Venus is my favorite. I might as well take her out of the box, but I have commitment issues with boxes of dolls that I can’t get in the store right now lol.

Long story short: have you made any mistakes when purchasing/has a seller shorted you before?

JoJo says the standard for live singing isn’t human anymore: "Yes, the mic is on!" And I'm like, "It’s literally not"

OG Series Items on eBay

(Repost because I forgot a flair 😅) Hi all! Mods, if this kind of post isn’t allowed, I’m so sorry and I’ll take it down! But I recently found all of my Fruits Basket stuff from childhood and I thought I’d put it up on eBay. I’d much rather it go to fans over random resellers, so I thought I’d post here to let you know in case some of you are looking for certain things. I have a Tohru plush, two Yuki plushes, a wall scroll, a journal, and the cat fan book, all pictured. I’m nostalgia_kt on eBay. I can also dm you a link. Thanks for reading and happy collecting :)

EDIT/UPDATE: the cat fan book, the plush Bijou, and the plush Hamtaro have sold! Everything else is still available!

Hamtaro Items on eBay!

Hi all! Mods, if this kind of post isn’t allowed, please let me know and I’ll remove it! I recently found a lot of my old Hamtaro stuff and thought I would put it up on eBay. I’d much rather sell it to fans over random toy resellers, so I thought I’d post here to let you know. I have listed: A complete Hamtaro’s Hideaway set, a nearly complete Bijou’s Bedroom set (just missing the tiny carrot), a nearly complete Ham-Ham Hideaway House (just missing the fireplace and purple chair), a ton of complete sets of hamsters in a haul, and a set of three small plushes (Hamtaro, Bijou, and Pashmina). I’m nostalgia_kt on eBay. Thanks for reading and happy collecting :)

EDIT/UPDATE: The figurine haul has sold! Someone is interested in splitting the plushes up, so get the three within the day if you want them! Closing that listing tomorrow night! Thank you all!

Christianity and the Fitness Industry

Hi all! I only just joined this sub to post this, so I hope this conversation doesn’t happen too often. I’ve been lifting weights for years and I occasionally try weird protein snacks that I find at Target for a treat. I picked up Prime Bites and found a bible verse printed on the back (John 3:16, for anyone who cares. The same one Forever 21 prints on their bags, which… Lmao very low effort proselytizing.) It has me thinking a lot about how I had to unfollow many fitness Instagram pages because they always end up posting about God, mostly in a Christian sense. When looking up healthy meals or anything relating to the gym on Pinterest, there’s always some clean girl/grind culture/Christianity mix that relentlessly pops up. I feel like this has to be because of “sloth” being a deadly sin, trying to “respect” the body “god gave them,” and I guess just western beauty standards of being thin which ties into the halo effect and people misconstruing looks as morality. I guess there’s always the possibility that it’s easier to proselytize to people who hate themselves and that type will tragically always be involved in the fitness community. What are your thoughts? Won’t be buying from this brand again.

Very telling Cynthia/Ariana acting comparison

Honestly, this has absolutely been posted before, but I think people need to be reminded of it every so often. Cynthia did a magnificent job. Ariana was under-qualified as usual. Can’t dance, can’t even run down a hallway. This spiritually feels like her current choreography, I can’t explain it. Have fun with this!
