Help- 14 month old suddenly picky with food. I’m failing.

I am now turning to the internet for help because I’m unsure of what to do and we are one of the first of our friends who have children. My son turned 1 in August! He’s always been a fantastic eater! Loved food and has eaten everything we give him since he started eating food. He was so easy! Recently we are now a week or two into him refusing everything we give him to eat, unless it’s a peanut butter sandwich, blackberries, the smoothie pouches from once upon a farm, or pancakes. He throws the food, picks it out of his mouth or cries. I’m not sure what to do with this behavior, do I discipline this behavior? If I am supposed to, how do I do that? (EDIT- by discipline I mean the throwing the food and dumping his plate angrily- I do not mean discipline him not eating)Right now we say ok all done and end the meal and give him 10 min to reset and try again. But then we are back to him making his mean face and throwing the food, crying, or refusing to eat it. Am I just supposed to keep making him somthing else every meal and wasting all this food? I’m afraid he’s going to starve or not get what he needs. Idk what to do and I feel like I’m failing. This is my first child, and I’m pregnant with my second due in 4 weeks. I need help.

Also he does have a few teeth coming in and has been drooling a lot but I don’t believe this is teething related since he will eat his favorite few foods?

Update from last post (22 weeks anatomy scan caught short cervix)

An update from my last post for anyone who saw:

I saw MFM today for the follow up ultrasound to see if my cervix is getting worse or stable. It is still 1.5cm short, I am still not dilated at all, no funneling which they said is good. I also saw a different MFM today so got her opinion as well as the other one from the other day. They do not want to do a cerclage because of the risks and i honestly have to agree with them. I have another ultrasound in a week to see how things are again, if it’s worse they said they will probably end up doing the cerclage before I turn 24 weeks which will be like 4 days after that.
My OB sounds hopeful, and I also spoke with my brothers older sister who is an OBGYN on the other side of the country and she said her and her colleagues would do the same and agree with my treatment plan. She was also not worried.

So I will continue the progesterone nightly throughout my pregnancy and basically take it week by week and hope I make it to the end. They did give me good statistics. They said women with my cervical length (1.5cm NOT DILATED) have a 1% of going into preterm labor before 28 weeks, 5% before 34 weeks and 12% before 37. They are hopeful and not concerned, just said to take it easy, I don’t need bed rest and they say to actually not do bed rest but just be mindful of how much I lift and maybe don’t do stairs/lift my son 60 times a day lol. I’m not sure I feel better about this yet but I’m just going to take it week by week like they said and just have a goal of making it through another week. They are setting me up with a perinatal physiologist also because I mentally have not been handling this well, and I’m extremely traumatized already and it’s only been two days. Idk how I’m going to do this and get through this, but I will certainly try my best. I hope in the future I have a good update and outcome to share.

Short cervix 22 weeks- anyone have positive stories?

-22 weeks this week
-(first pregnancy my son is 10 months old, his pregnancy was IVF but uneventful and had a wonderful induction no complications )
- cervix length yesterday was 1.6-2.1CM depending on angle
-MFM AND OB are not concerned and put me on progesterone and more monitoring this week and next week
-they will not do a cerclage because of the risks and being 22 weeks (which I understand and I don’t like the sound of the risks either)
-cervix is NOT DILATED AND HIGH UP, haven’t had contractions (that I know of) and this pregnancy has been so uneventful and smooth sailing (no bleeding or cramping or excessive discharge etc)

Has anyone had this happen and made it full term? I slept maybe two hours last night. I’m spiraling and my eyes are swollen from crying. My doctors are not worried at all and told me to just relax and take it kind of easy. Not bed rest but just limit lifting my son and don’t do anything excessive.

22 weeks anatomy scan… left in tears.

Edited with facts after talking to MFM:
-22 weeks
-cervix is short and measuring 1.5 cm and 2.1cm on another angle
-cervix is high and closed NOT DILATED
-MFM won’t do cerclage says it’s too late and there’s risks
-they said they aren’t concerned, I seem to be the only one freaking out
-starting 200mg progesterone tonight
-recheck in two days to see how things are going
-I’m not working the next week and half, they didn’t put me on bed rest but did say to limit stairs and carrying/lifting my son who’s 20 pounds and 11 months - he’s on the move lol
-I won’t be making it to term will I?
-I am absolutely beside myself and haven’t stopped crying since I got home

Im currently waiting to hear from high risk doctor/MFM. I had what was supposed to be my anatomy scan today, only to have it cut short and the tech left saying she had to get a doctor because my cervix is too short. I saw her measure it and it was 1.5(cm I think) they said they like it above 2.5 I think. My cervix is high and closed but they are trying to come up with a plan and they will be calling me soon. I know they are going to have me take progesterone which isn’t a big deal, I did IVF to have our first baby so I’m a pro when it comes to progesterone. Has anyone had experience with a cervix this short at this many weeks? How was your outcome? I’m beside myself. I know I’ve been chasing after my 10 month old, he’s almost 11 months and he is almost walking so I’ve been doing a lot. Im so terrified I can’t even put it into words. Has anyone been able to have more children after this? What does it mean for my future too? I don’t understand how or why this happened. Any positive stories ?
