Editing Subtitles/Captions

I use the Studio App on my iPad for the majority of my stuff. I also try to make sure my content is accessible for those with disabilities. Is there a way to edit subtitles on the app itself? Everything I find mentions a subtitles section on the left side of the screen, but that is not present in the app. If I try to do it on Safari, it takes me to the app. So far, I have only found a way to do it on an actual computer, but I don't always travel with my computer so would love to be able to do it on my iPad.

Homemade Body Butter is Greasy

I teach special education and we are looking at making some basic skincare stuff during our vocaitional training class. I've been experimenting with homemade body butter, but no matter what I try, it is coming out greasy.

I sourced my ingredients off of Amazon for the initial test, will probably start using Bulk Apothecary as I replenish. Here is my current recipe:

41g shea butter (currently using unrefined, not a fan of the strong smell, so will be switching to refined when I run out)
41g mango butter (the site I used said this is the last greasy of butters)
1/4 cup Jojoba oil (Just ran out, and am considering playing with sweet almond or grapeseed, but from what I read jojoba is the most popular)
2 tsp of arrowroot powder (this is upped form the recipe calling for 1.5 tsp)

Melt shea and mango butters in a double broiler, mix jojoba oil and arrowroot powder. When butters are melted, combine ingredients. I've been using refrigerator/freezer to cool them. I have tried fork whipping and using a mixer. I've been experimenting with different levels of firmness when whipping. I currently have a batch cooling on the counter to see how it does when left to cool overnight, which will probably be the best setup for my classroom anyway as my vocational class is only an hour and a half and it appears to need more time to get to firm but not solid in the freezer/fridge than what the recipe suggests. (And we'll be making much larger batches.)

I want to keep the ingredients list small and the recipe easy. I am working with students with very high support needs and the current recipe is one they could do with very little support once they learn it, which is my goal. I'm not opposed to adding water as it appears the commercially available ones have water, but I have also heard that leads to spoilage/bacteria. I'm not opposed to adding ingredients/preservatives, but want to keep the list small and want to keep the price down as much as possible, we have a limited budget. I am new to this, so any and all tips are appreciated!

Recommended Airline Credit Card?

I am starting to fly more often and am thinking at this point in time it might be worth it to get a credit card for the miles and upgrade benefits, but I am not sure which airline to use.

I have flown Southwest, United, American, British, Delta, Alaska, and Cathay Pacific. I have never had an issue with any of them, although am leaning away from Southwest due to their recent changes. I think United has been my favorite so far, but again, we've had good experiences with all airlines.

My home airport is Kansas City which from my research is not a hub for any airline. Most of my flying will be in the midwest for bagpipe trips, which means I do have my instrument in my carry on. I try to avoid checking bags when possible. I don't do a lot of flying internationally, but anticipate a trip once every couple of years to the UK for bagpipe stuff. I am not super familiar with airline cards, but from what I've heard it can be a great way to get cheaper upgrades, and I know that if I am flying overseas at the very least would like to get economy plus/premium economy, but business if I can afford it.

I anticipate that for the next few years I may be flying 3-4 times a year with the majority of those trips being in the midwest. I am leaning towards United, but apparently American is part of the One World alliance which includes British Airways which is who I fly with to the UK (although our connecting flights last year were through United, and these were booked through BA). I don't know how easy it would be to use points from one airline's credit card with another one, but the majority of my flights will be on domestic airlines so getting British Airways card does not make sense to me. Thank you for any and all advice!

Parents of BPD Young Adults

One of our children who just turned 18 likely has BPD (mental health professional has used the phrase "BPD tendencies" and explained the diagnosis is likely to come when they are older).

We are foster parents and this child lived with us since their tween years. Adoption was not an option (we would have loved to) and the day they turned 18 they left home. I know this is not uncommon for kids in this situation because they spend their childhoods seeing adults as unreliable (and to be fair, most of the adults in their formative years were very unreliable) and that they will be on the street when they turn 18. We literally got a letter in the mail stating that our legal relationship dissolved the day they turned 18. We encouraged them to stay at home and said we will continue to support them, but they decided to leave. They still call us mom and dad and we do have meals together.

Unfortunately, we are worried that this young person is not equipped to live on their own at this time and are afraid that it is eventually going to come crashing down around them. We are trying to walk the line of respecting their autonomy and boundaries while still being their parents. We did tell them that if they choose to leave home, they are responsible for their finances, transportation, etc. That we will respect their ability to live independently as an adult. But we have continued to maintain their room, we do pay their health insurance, and we have let them know that they are free to move back home at any point. We have also tried to keep our opinions to ourselves regarding the wisdom of this move and their decisions, only offering opinions when asked about a situation.

For those who have been through this transition, any advice? We do want them to see us a safe place to land if things go south while still allowing them the autonomy to learn from their experiences.

Workplace Bank Cards

My son was recently hired, and they gave him a workplace bank card that they load with his paycheck. Unfortunately, this thing also comes with a lot of transaction fees, in reading the fine print, it appears that the only thing he can do without a fee is withdraw from one of their ATMs. He has his own bank account but said they direct deposit on this instead of the bank account and it does not appear he can just transfer the money without a fee.

I've only encountered these once before, and it was when a company decided to stop doing paper checks, they were for people who did not have bank accounts that accept direct deposit. He is supposed to clarify at his next shift if he can get it deposited directly into his account. If they say no, is it illegal to require employees use their paycard which comes with all these transaction fees? I feel like he shouldn't be required to pay fees to use his money, but I've always had direct deposit so maybe I am out of touch.

Passport Doesn't Look Enough Like Me?

I got my passport in 2019, when I was 75 lbs heavier. Even at the time the picture was taken, it was probably the worst picture I've ever had and didn't look that much like me at the time (I look so much heavier in the picture than I did in real life back then.) I had asked last year about needing a new passport and the passport office said I was fine. I had no issues when I traveled to Scotland with it.

Earlier this month I traveled to Hong Kong and I got asked for a secondary ID because it really does not look like me any more. It has worked everywhere else, but now I'm wondering if I should just get a new passport despite the office telling me I didn't need to. At the time they basically stated they would refuse to do it. I'm having trouble finding online if it can be a renewal, or just a replacement since it doesn't expire for 3 more years. I don't have any international travel currently planned, but I do sometimes get asked to facilitate trainings in Canada, and there is a possibility of being asked to facilitate a training in Singapore in 2028.

Finally happened- flagged by airport security

I'd seen posts about people having their carry ons flagged because bagpipes show up weird on the scanner. I have flown several times with them and security has not batted an eye. Until today.

Going through security in Hong Kong, and both my backpack which had my Blair digital chanter and my suitcase which had the pipes themselves got flagged. I actually had to show security how the Blair worked, the guy thought it was a bludgeon. It was kind of amusing him demonstrating using it as a bludgeon (gently, not making contact with anything) as his way of asking me if it was a weapon.

Tune ID

Around the 3:00 minute mark of Fix You in Red Hot Chilli Pipers. Rolling Drones also uses this tune in one of their songs but it escapes me which one. It sounds so familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it and the album credits only list it as a traditional arrangement.
