Every year I removed the flower spikes to allow the energy to go into the plants. This year I’ve decided to let them grow.

Meet Brazilian Starfish. Medium heat easy to grow chilly. As per my chilli post last week I started all my chilies off at the end of January from saved seed. This one has been singled out to grow as a tall standard for this autumns village fruit and flower show. Pinched out at 5’ to start branching.

Two of my chillies are fruiting. Brazilian starfish (round) & Dutch Red ( long ). It’s rewarding for us chilly growers in the UK to see the fruit eventually given the weather conditions we’ve been dealing with. 👍
