Re-sched Initial interview/Assessment

Hi, hindi ba redflag i-resched initial interview and assessment? For context it was scheduled last week, but due to weather and flooding in our area, I reschedule it today, but I don't think so if I can make it today as the weather right now is bad and also flooding in our areas rightnow then not feasible to find transport.Helpp

PH professionals to Factory Worker (SK, taiwan etc)

Hello, may accountant ba dito or PH professionals from different fields na nag‑shift muna ng career path to become a factory worker? ( e.g., South korea, Taiwan etc.) If yes, I’d like to ask:

  1. Saan kayo nag‑apply?
  2. Ilang months bago kayo na‑hire at nakapag‑start as FW?
  3. Estimated total cost na nagastos ninyo, and nag‑aral pa ba kayo ng language?
  4. May regrets ba kayo after choosing to earn more for several years before going back to your profession?
  5. Do you still plan to practice your profession (for those still in abroad), and sa tingin ninyo may companies pa bang magha‑hire going back to ph?

Sa ngayon, nasa Plan B ko na ito while waiting sa results after several final interviews (most of them ended in rejection). May mga interview ako na umaabot pa sa 3–4 stages with different heads, pero ulats pa rin. Hindi naman ako nagtatagalog sa interview, I feel the vibes that they will hire me, also they ask me when is my preferred start date, "Siguro may mas qualified? ". HAHAHA

Maganda naman ang credentials ko, kaso bumagsak lang ako sa CPALE last May. Until now, wala pa ring job offer. Ilang months na rin, at masakit marinig kung ano‑ano lang mula sa mga tao sa paligid habang iniisip nila na tambay lang ako and parents want me to work in a fast food chain. Pero, Overqualified din ako dun hahaha. If i-fake ko naman CV ko na hindi grumaduate and remove my experience, wala naman integrity.

I graduated with Latin honors and have less than a year of audit firm experience, plus leadership background. May gaps lang sa CV ko because of my CPA review.

Edited: Well, may offer na pala ako before kaso na-reject ko din because of deadline ng JO and waiting for other companies haha. Then, saw a lot of redflags din kasi.

Rejection

I worked in an audit firm but resigned to prepare for the board exam. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to pass. I have seven months of advisory experience plus three months of internship experience in one of the local firm in makati. Since then, I’ve applied to more than hundred positions. I’ve been invited to around five interviews, some even reaching the final stage, but I was still rejected in the end. The job market today is extremely saturated, and I badly need a job right now because I need to save up and bounce back.

I graduated with Latin honors in 2024 and also have leadership experience. I’ve been using an ATS‑ready CV, but I still keep getting rejected or, worse, my CV isn’t even viewed. I actually did well naman sa interviews. I was honest about failing the CPALE, but I explained that I learned from my mistakes and gained valuable lessons during those months of study that I can apply to my work.

It’s exhausting to keep applying. Sometimes I even joke about sending rejection emails back to the companies, just like in that meme above.

I’ve also thought about shifting paths — maybe studying Korean to work in a factory worker, or even farming in Japan. At this point, I just keep imagining different options.

Right now, I’ve paused my CPA review because it’s painful to feel like I gave everything, yet it still wasn’t enough. I was devastated. But at the same time, I’m proud to say I’m helping my father with construction work while continuing my job hunt.

Sana mahanap ko na yung sagot ko sa kasabihan na "Kung para sayo, para sayo" —Nakakapagod na maghintay.
