Is this Kuwait job offer worth it for a first-time OFW?

Hi everyone! This would be my first time working abroad for a Guest Service Attendant position at an amusement park in Kuwait and would like to ask for your honest opinion.

The offer is:

Basic salary: 160 KWD/month

Accommodation allowance: 50 KWD

Food allowance: 25 KWD

Transportation allowance: 25 KWD

Total package: 260 KWD/month

I’m also supporting my parents financially, so being able to save and send money home is very important to me.

For those currently working or who have worked in Kuwait, is this a reasonable offer for a first-time OFW?

I would really appreciate any advice, especially from Filipinos working in Kuwait. Thank you!

How much should be the budget to live to other country and can you suggest any with good benefits?

Want to explore and settle na rin if it's good. Plan's to be OFW for a while then be a citizen after few years if it works out.

20yo Filipina working as a Factory Worker in South Korea

Sabi naman na i a assist ka, with or without work experience tapos free passport assistance na din, free orientation, no placement fee, no salary deduction, 87k to 150k basic monthly salary, free food and free accomodation, 3 years contract lang, tapos may financial assistance pa daw.

How do I land a job overseas? Where is the best to go?

Hi! I’m a 22-year old fresh grad. I have a communication degree (focused mainly on advertising/strategic planning) and while I did graduate from one of the so-called “Big 4” universities here, I know that that has no bearing when it comes to seeking employment overseas.

I’ve been seriously thinking about working overseas. The job market here feels incredibly saturated, and I’m worried that it could take me quite a while to land a role that pays enough for me to eventually support my family the way I want to.

For those who have successfully moved abroad for work and/or from a communications, advertising, marketing, or similar background: How did you get started?

  • Did you apply for jobs directly from the Philippines, or did you study/work somewhere first? Which countries would you recommend looking into for someone with my background?
  • Is it realistic to aim for an overseas job as a fresh grad, or would it be better to gain a few years of experience here first?
  • Are there particular skills, certifications, or types of experience I should prioritize if my end goal is really to work abroad?

I’m open to hearing the good, the bad, and reality checks. I would appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through this or is currently trying to do the same. Thanks!

Tips on how can I work abroad: I want to have a better life for my family 🥺

For context, I (F25) am currently working as an Admin sa isang state university/college. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and my previous work is as a teacher sa isang center.

I really want to work abroad but I have no idea where to start. I enjoy teaching kids and I believe it is my passion, pero ang hirap kasing ma-hire as public teacher dito sa 'tin.

May tips po ba kayo on how I can work abroad as a teacher? If yes po, ano po kayang bansa ang magandang puntajmhan and paano po kaya ang process? Thank you so much po sa mga sasagot! God bless!

Where to find work overseas as a fresh grad with no experience?

Hii a fresh grad here and I've been constantly applying for work here in Ph mostly in the hospitality management industry and bpo industry but sadly the offers that were given to me don't compensate for the workload that they were offering.

I've always wanted to work overseas (I feel like greece and germany are calling me) and my family has been pushing me as well because "I'm still young and have a lot of opportunities waiting for me abroad". But unfortunately, I have no idea where to start.

Any recommendations on where I should start looking?

+ general advice and tips in trying to work overseas is highly appreciated 🫶🏻.

Going home for good after 17years abroad

My wife and I have already been discussing and planning to move back home for good sometime next year. We have two kids, currently 5 and 7 years old. Looking back, I can say we've been quite disciplined with our finances over the years. As of now, we are generating around ₱98,000 per month in passive income from our rental properties. Thankfully, we don't have any outstanding mortgage, housing, or car loans since all our properties and assets were purchased or built using cash.

In addition, we already have a solar power system installed at home, which significantly reduces our utility expenses. For our regular recurring costs, we are mostly looking at water bills, association dues, property taxes, and optional contributions or protections such as SSS and insurance policies.

That said, we are not planning to rely solely on the passive income. The ₱98,000 is purely from rentals and doesn't yet include any additional income we may earn from side projects, small businesses, or even regular employment should either of us decide to take on a lighter role in the future. Aware din naman ako na hindi ito absolute guarantee income monthly, for vacancies, disputes and other unforeseen circumstances. But for my specific rental properties, I can say that it is quite stable.

We plan to settle in the Nuvali area and are considering enrolling our children at Don Bosco. Based on our initial estimates, tuition would be around ₱90,000 per child annually, or roughly ₱180,000 for both

I've already laid out most of the numbers and projections on paper and from where I stand, the plan appears workable. Still, I believe it would be wise to seek advice from others who may have gone through a similar transition, as there are always things that can be overlooked when planning a major life move like this.

Finally, we are not looking into a grand style of living, we came from a poor family and we know how to live na sapat sapat lang. Sana meron makapag bigay ng insights. Thank you.

ganun ba kahigpit talaga or OA lang imagination ko? yung laptop and phone mo ba iiscan nila yan?

pag nandun ka sa KSA tapos nag sexy time kayo ng chicks mo from PH thru msgr or whatsapp VideoCall, malaking problema ba yon dun?

how come nasusurvive mga Pinoy dun or other nationalities ng wala man lang kahit soft porn or sexy pictures? kahit private viewing lang?

pahingi naman guide or advice sa mga batikan mag KSA.. also wag naman magjudge mga tao dito na sasabihin "manyak" ka or anything... hindi manyak, LALAKI lang po talaga

Ex-OFW gustong umalis na uli ng Pinas

2023 nung bumalik ako uli dto aa Pinas. 11yrs ako sa South Korea and my wife was 5 yrs 2018 sya umuwi.

Oo halos may crisis buong mundo ngayon.

We don't have kids pa. We really want to start again sa ibang bansa. To live a peaceful life.

Burned out sa tech 😭 Worth it ba mag-TESDA para makapag-abroad kahit no experience?

2 years na ako working in tech and honestly, sobrang burned out na ako. I’m considering leaving the field and looking for opportunities abroad for a better quality of life.

For example, warehouse, construction, farming, hospitality, factory, or other manual/labor jobs.

If kailangan ng training or certification, should I take TESDA NC II first? Anong TESDA course ang pinaka-useful for someone with zero experience in that field and potentially wants to work abroad?

Also, do employers/agencies abroad usually provide training before deployment, or expected na certified/experienced ka na before applying?

Any advice, especially from Filipinos who started with zero experience and eventually worked in Europe/Australia, would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Job opportunites for partner who isn't UK National?

Hi all, I’m from the UK and my partner is Filipino. She has a degree in accounting, is a qualified accountant, and has around six years of experience, although all of it has been outside Europe. We want to do everything correctly, so I’m wondering what the best route would be for her to secure an accounting job in the UK. Are there recruiters who specialise in placing overseas accountants?

We’ve been applying through Indeed and LinkedIn without much success. Would it be worth her coming to the UK on a visit visa to attend interviews, or would she need to secure a sponsored job before coming over? Obviously, we don’t want to breach any visa rules. Any advice from people who have gone through a similar process, particularly Filipino accountants, would be greatly appreciated.

Help! I Want to Work Abroad as a Fresh Graduate

I just want to go abroad and work overseas. I’m 27 years old and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy last July 2026.

I’m currently looking for any job opportunities abroad, preferably accounting-related, but I’m also open to other positions that can help me gain international work experience.

If you have any advice, recommendations, recruitment agencies, job sites, or personal experiences about working abroad as a fresh graduate from the Philippines, I would really appreciate your help!

Any opportunity or advice would mean a lot. Thank you! 🙏

Fresh Graduate Planning to go abroad

Hi guys, I just want to ask advice or anything you can offer.

I just graduated last month. Took up Business Administration and I'm torn whether to pursue bank related jobs in ph or go abroad. It is not my passion and don't really like my course but I want to earn money. I tried bpo work and it got me through my schooling but I don't see a future here. Would it be wise to try going abroad and do factory work in Taiwan or Japan?

I passed the CSC exam so I have options to go work in the government but my heart tells me to go abroad to have a new perspective.

Please help me.

PH professionals to Factory Worker (SK, taiwan etc)

Hello, may accountant ba dito or PH professionals from different fields na nag‑shift muna ng career path to become a factory worker? ( e.g., South korea, Taiwan etc.) If yes, I’d like to ask:

  1. Saan kayo nag‑apply?
  2. Ilang months bago kayo na‑hire at nakapag‑start as FW?
  3. Estimated total cost na nagastos ninyo, and nag‑aral pa ba kayo ng language?
  4. May regrets ba kayo after choosing to earn more for several years before going back to your profession?
  5. Do you still plan to practice your profession (for those still in abroad), and sa tingin ninyo may companies pa bang magha‑hire going back to ph?

Sa ngayon, nasa Plan B ko na ito while waiting sa results after several final interviews (most of them ended in rejection). Hindi naman ako nagtatagalog sa interview, I feel the vibes that they will hire me, also they ask me when is my preferred start date, "Siguro may mas qualified? ". HAHAHA

Until now, wala pa ring job offer. Ilang months na rin, at masakit marinig kung ano‑ano lang mula sa mga tao sa paligid habang iniisip nila na tambay lang ako and parents want me to work in a fast food chain. Pero, Overqualified din ako dun hahaha. If i-fake ko naman CV ko na hindi grumaduate and remove my experience, wala naman integrity.

I graduated with Latin honors and have less than a year of audit firm experience, plus leadership background. May gaps lang sa CV ko because of my CPA review.

Edited: Well, may offer na pala ako before kaso na-reject ko din because of deadline ng JO and waiting for other companies haha. Then, saw a lot of redflags din kasi.
