First surf rode, is this inappropriate way to transport it on the boat?

I don’t wanna bang it up and my gunnel rod holders will not accommodate a 10 foot rod. Is it OK to use these rubber wires or should I use something like zip ties so it’s more secure?

Testicular Cancer survivor. Is TRT for me?

40, will be 41 in July. Have had a vasectomy early this year after the birth of my third beautiful child. I had testicular cancer in 2013 left teste removed, three round of chemo, with no issues since. I have been on Clomid for the last 10+ years and have consistently upped dose over time. 50mg every other day and I've been feeling it lose is effectiveness. A doctor friend of mine is a general surgeon but interested in hormones and peptides as he also ages and he suggested running some bloodwork. I saw him this morning and will go in for labs tomorrow. Seems like TRT will be a good option for me though he has not outright said that. I guess I dont' have a specific question, just want to make sure I'm not jumping the gun.

I should add, I dont FEEL like my levels are where they should be currently the way I have in the past. I am also doing all the things to be healthy, lift heavy 3X a week, sleeping as well as a father of three littles can, eating right, etc.

I’m tired of tripping over this cord, are any of the cordless vacuums good yet?

Cordless vacuums were just kind of getting started a couple years ago when I bought my latest cleaner, so I didn’t want to be an early adopter. Are there any that have proven to be reliable?

Where to start

(this was posted but info on bottom did not load)

I have been tasked with removing this beautiful pre 1940’s wood boiler. its approx 5’ tall, 4’long and 4’wide. it was converted to gas at some point, then decommissioned. When it was decommissioned they said it had to be removed or made inoperable, so someone in their infinite wisdom filled it to the top with concrete and tack brazed the doors shut.

i know im looking at around 3000lb for the boiler and another 3k for the concrete, but is there any chance anyone has had to do this? it has been abated (very poorly and it will be getting done properly first) but after that do i just cut the rods and wedge them apart like normal? is there anything about these bigger boilers different than a residential one?

doors and anything saveable will be removed carefully, but it is in a basement so i am limited to size of what can be brought out at a time. ive used a ramset in the past to break up cast with varying levels of success, so wondering if there is a better way than a wedge to take the layers apart and a ramset to break it into manageable pieces.

I scored this Spinfisher VII 5500 for $100 so I’m looking for a 10-11’ rod to pair it with. Since I got a good deal on the reel I can spend a little more on the rod, trying to keep it midrange so $200-300ish. I’m an inshore/nearshore on the boat guy so first surf rod but will probably get a fair bit of use since I have three little ones now who like to play in the sand. Will be primarily fishing right at the NC/SC line and down into Charleston.
