I've been chatting with some friends about early gen pokemon rumors--Mew under the truck, all the stuff with name raters and mr psychic, old playground rumors we didn't have gamefaqs to disprove yet. And I got to wondering, was there stuff like that for Minecraft? Obviously there was Herobrine, but try as I might, he's the only one I could recall. That said, I'm positive there were more, and this sure seems like the place to find out if there were.

So, I guess this question has two parts. The main one is: A while back, I read that when you're trying to make a cut or sync an event to music, you want to put the visuals a little before or a little after the beat hits on the timeline, due to how humans process A/V stimulus. I cannot for the life of me remember where I read this, how to source it, or whether it was before or after, so if anyone knows offhand, I'd appreciate it.

The second is less important, cuz I've done okay for myself so far, but short of setting a truly deranged framerate for the project, I have no idea how or if I can make Da Vinci Resolve snap to time (musical or otherwise) versus frames (which are basically always gonna be 24/s), so if there is a way to do that, I'd appreciate it. But it's mostly the first thing.

So I'm a transfem who will just never be 100% passing. I'm 6'2, broad shoulders, no money and little inclination for ffs and the like, I'm coming to terms with that. The issue is: I like being a tomboy. I like shorts and fixing stuff and being a lit laddish. I'm still pretty new to caring what I look like, so are there any tips for walking the tomboy-but-not-butch line without just dipping back into reading masc?
