Simplicity pattern and mod fabric came together in a new outfit. I don’t have a lot of outfits for her, but I’m working on a collection.

I made this last night with an old Simplicity pattern and a fat quarter of this cool fabric.

I have seen lots of warnings from multiple sources that even modern Barbies can get “green ear” from metal posts. I take them out now and store them in a little bag. I would love to find a source for plastic replacements, and I saw something cryptic about making them from thick fishing line and hot glue. Anyone make earrings from materials other than metal?

I’m going to my first ever doll show tomorrow. What advice would you give to a first time attendee?

Does anyone else have her? Mrs Beasley is missing her hands, but she has her iconic glasses. Any thoughts about how to make new hands?

Just received her today and she’s awesome! I need to get some protectant on her pleather right away, and she needs a little hair wash, but I think she’s fantastic!

I thought her hair needed a little more volume on top to look like she did in the video the doll is modeled after. What do you think?
