The problem with Cody Rhodes turning heel is that, okay, who replaces him as the face of the company? It’s all fun and games to want Cody Rhodes to turn heel but who’s going to take his place as the undisputed face of WWE? Roman Reigns is the person who Cody Rhodes replaced as face of WWE and Roman Reigns isn’t even full time. It’s not going to be LA Knight, or Jey Uso, it’s not going to be Seth Rollins. Your OBAS and Trick Williams and Bron Breakker are still green and they ain’t there yet and they’re still young. Randy Orton is an OG. The only person who could be the face of WWE is CM Punk but he’s closing in on 50. You can tweak his character and make his character be a bit more edgier but you’re not fully turning Cody Rhodes heel. The same way that John Cena never turned heel even when half the audience were shitting on him on a weekly basis when he was the face of WWE during the Vince McMahon era. Business wise it would be a dumb decision to turn Cody Rhodes heel. Especially when there is NO ONE to replace him as the face of the company.

The problem is also a lot of the “heels” we see, they just get cheered anyways. Dominik Mysterio is the perfect example, he gets super heel heat but he also gets super cheered also. It’s hard to be a proper heel. Especially hard for it to be Cody Rhodes and CM Punk of all people.

CM Punk, it ain’t happening. He’s way too beloved at this point to ever turn heel. Ever since CM Punk came back to WWE in 2023 he’s consistently been universally cheered and loved by the fans. No one is booing him at all. Also in kayfabe and in reality, CM Punk after all the years is FINALLY getting everything he’s ever wanted that he SHOULD have gotten in his first run in WWE. The WrestleMania main events, back to back WrestleMania main events he was apart of. His Wife coming back to WWE and tag teaming with AJ LEE. The WWE2K26 cover. Winning TWO World Heavyweight Championships in 2025. What reason does he have to turn heel? CM Punk is also nearing the end of his career. There is no point in turning him heel when the fans will just cheer him anyways. It’s CM PUNK! The live audiences haven’t gotten tired of CM Punk. Like with Cody Rhodes it’s a bad business move to turn CM Punk heel. People show up to see people like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. People buy their merchandise’s. You can maybe tweak their characters slightly but we are never going to get a heel run for Cody Rhodes or CM Punk. We may get Homelander Cody Rhodes in a tweener role but we are NEVER getting 2011 heel CM Punk.

So Jon Moxleys AEW contract finished up in October of 2027. So he’ll be free and clear to come back to WWE at the 2028 Royal Rumble in January 2028. We all know Dean Ambrose will eventually come back to THE FED. IF he does re-sign with AEW it’ll probably be for 1 more year which takes him to October 2028 and he’s been in AEW since 2019. That’ll nearly be a full DECADE of him in AEW before coming back to WWE. So he’ll be ready for the 2029 Royal Rumble. Vince McMahon is gone. Kevin Dunn is gone. Johnny Ace is gone. All the people Jon Moxley hated in charge are all gone. HHH is the one running the shows now. This is a completely different WWE. The McMahons aren’t in control of the WWE anymore. TKO are. With Roman Reigns saying after HIS contract is finished next year he has another year or two before HE transitions out of Wrestling as a whole, and Seth Rollins saying he only has another 5 years left in him before HE also transitions out of Wrestling too.

So Royal Rumble 2028. That’s where Dean Ambrose comes back to WWE. AT number 30. Wins the Royal Rumble. I would have Seth Rollins be the World Champion going into WrestleMania 44. Roman Reigns wins the 2027 Money In The Bank. And that’s how we finally get the Shield Triple Threat Match. The fact that we only got the triple threat match at Battleground 2016 is insane. Roman Reigns has never won Money In The Bank. So have him win that before he retires. Dean Ambrose has never won The Royal Rumble. Have him win that. So The night 2 Main Event of WrestleMania 44 will be Seth Rollins the defending World Champion against the Money In The Bank winner who announced he is cashing in the briefcase before WrestleMania Roman Reigns vs The 2028 Royal Rumble Winner Dean Ambrose.

WWE has a working relationship with TNA. They allowed their wrestlers to go work Bloodsports when it was still on. They have a working relationship with Pro Wrestling NOAH. They OWN AAA. So if Jon Moxley wants to work Japan he can go to Pro Wrestling NOAH through WWE. He can work TNA and AAA. He can work NWA. He can work the indies. This isn’t WWE of the past that they weren’t collaborating with other companies. They do that now with TKO. And that doesn’t even include UFC. So other than RAW and SMACKDOWN and NXT Jon Moxley can work Pro Wrestling NOAH, he can work TNA. He can work AAA. NWA and the WWE indies. He can do something with UFC. He’ll have more freedom to work other wrestling companies THROUGH WWE.

And who goes over? Dean Ambrose. He wins The World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship. And that’s the payoff to The Shield Triple Threat. And Roman and Seth can basically retire while Dean continues to wrestle.

For anyone who says “oh he will never go back” NEVER SAY NEVER in wrestling. CM Punk is living proof of that. If CM Punk of all people can come back to WWE with all the history and baggage he had with WWE and now he’s back and living his best life in WWE and achieving all the things he wanted to achieve in his first run. So for the people who say he’ll never go back, look at CM PUNK. Main evented BACK TO BACK WrestleManias. Night 1 in 2025 and Night 2 in 2026. Won the World Heavyweight Championship TWICE in 2025. His Wife came back and he got tag with AJ Lee. On the cover of WWE2K26. Everything he wanted in his first run he’s finally getting in his second run.

Like she mentioned in this video. She KNOWS she’s coming back to WWE one day. There’s no doubt about it. She’s not an AEW lifer. She’s going to retire and end her career in WWE. We all know this. This video was conducted 1 week before she made her AEW debut. IF she re-signs it’ll probably be for 1 more year to take her to January 2028. So either she wins the AEW Women’s World Championship in Wembley in August then holds it to Worlds End in December then she’s written off tv to allow her contract to expire like Mariah May did. Mariah May lost her AEW Women’s World Championship to Timeless Toni Storm then got written off tv to allow her contract to expire then she went to WWE. OR Mercedes re-signs for 1 more year and you give her a longer title reign and to make sure she faces more women before she goes back to WWE in 2028.

More reason to FINALLY get to the Four Horsewomen match. Charlotte is 40. She’s not going to be wrestling forever. Becky is 39 and she too isn’t going to wrestle forever. Bayley is 37 next month. None of these women are getting any younger. So in 2028 I would have the four horsewomen MAIN EVENT Night 1 of WrestleMania 44 in 2028. By the time we get to 2028 Charlotte will be 42. Becky will be 41. Bayley will be 39. And Mercedes will be 36. And I DO think this will be the last time the women ever main event. You give Becky and Charlotte and Mercedes their SECOND WrestleMania Main Event And you finally give Bayley her FIRST WrestleMania main event after all she’s done. And who goes over? THE MAN BECKY LYNCH.

Nobody should be thinking Gunther is winning. He’s not. I think people forget a few things, IF Brock Lesnar can be convinced to wrestle at SummerSlam and ACTUALLY retire there, then Gunther is who Brock Lesnar will be facing. You can even say that the REAL favour Gunther wanted from Paul Heyman was a match with Brock Lesnar so he can add him to the many others who Gunther has already retired. I can see Paul Heyman getting involved in the WWE Championship match in Italy which will play into Gunther vs Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. IF Brock DOESN’T want to wrestle in Minneapolis Minnesota his hometown then Gunther will maybe win the Championship in Italy only hold the belt for a month before Cody beats him and wins his 4th WWE Championship.

Another thing. We still need to get to running back Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton. We all know they’re not done with each other. Even though Cody Rhodes beat Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Randy Orton punted Cody Rhodes, so even though Randy Orton lost the match, he still got the last laugh as of right now. Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton is not done.

AND they teased on the RAW after WrestleMania, a match between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. CM Punk most likely is going to move to SmackDown. So whether it’s at SummerSlam or WrestleMania 43 next year, we ARE getting Cody Rhodes vs CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

I feel that the people who want Cody Rhodes to lose are people who are fed up with him as WWE Champion. But once again, Cody Rhodes ain’t losing. He’s not. Gunther is most likely facing Brock Lesnar at Summerslam and you’re not going to make that match a title match considering the thing that’s on the line is Brock Lesnars career. And Cody Rhodes still has Randy Orton to deal with and that’s all BEFORE he gets to CM Punk.
